Your first stop will be at Weg Naar Zee to feel the tranquil atmosphere of the Hindu temple. Hear how it serves as a place of pilgrimage and its crematorium importance. Then, you'll travel further to Saramacca and drive past locals who live from cattle breeding plus the cultivation of rice and vegetables. At Groningen, the capital of Saramacca, you'll explore the smallest square with the most monuments and witness its exhibits displaying the multicultural history of Suriname.
You'll discover that Saramacca ends on the western side at the Coppename river as you depart and admire the natural landscape as you cross over. Continue to Boskamp for a close-up demonstration of the “warme vis” preserved smoking method for a fish dish that lasts. Next, at Coronie, known as the Coconut district, you'll increase your knowledge at the mangrove center by receiving on mangrove forests of Suriname to end the day.
