We both really enjoyed the trip our guide Cynthia was amazing, knowledgeable, funny & friendly. Our coach driver was lovely too. Just enough time at both places, Mount Vesuvius was hard climb in the heat as it was like walking in sand but well worth the effort. Lunch was I. A lovely restaurant, starter, whole pizza or pasta for main. & lemon cake for dessert plus any drink. Thank you TUI

Loved the experience. Just the right balance of activities. Pompeii was fascinating. Tour guide Salvatore, was entertaining and knowledgeable. Lunch was also lovely. Going to the top of Vesuvius felt like an achievement and we're glad we did it, but the volcano itself seemed less dramatic than I was expecting.

Very enjoyable trip. Guide Roberto around Pompeii showed lots of notable places, and gave time to look and take pictures. Plenty of time to see mount vesuvios at your own pace. Lunch at the restaurant was delicious 3 course meal!

At first I felt like the price was a bit too high per person but this tour is a whole day with a rented bus and a delicious lunch. I liked everything about it, our guide was informative and funny (at times) which definitely added to the experience. Overall, it was a great day out and I don’t regret !

Enjoyed having a knowledgeable guide who was fun and friendly. Coach was comfortable but our seat belts didn't work. Good food at restaurant but would have preferred our own table. We were sqeezed into a small space sat with strangers. Pompeii and Vesuvius didn't disappoint at all. Pleased to have the guide for Pompeii and to have the freedom to walk alone up to vesuvius. A really great day.

Excellent experience, very knowledgeable and friendly guides, lunch was very good. Could have done with slightly more time at Vesuvius as had to rush back down a bit to get to the coach on time, but overall really enjoyed the day.

The tour itself was amazing, we couldn't fault anything, the guide (Salvatore) was great and he had a good knowledge of the two attractions. The only downside was the pick-up and drop-off location (Hotel Moon Valley). It seemed there was no understanding between TUI and the hotel regarding this. The man on the front desk was very angry about the drop-off and most unhelpful to us. This was especially disappointing after a long, hot day out and felt we were left stranded.

Giovanni our driver was superb and Dana our guide brilliant. Superb knowledge of Pompeii by Dana with snippets you certainly wouldn't get from a guide book / audio guide.Giovanni safely got us to Vesuvius so we could hike up the last bit to the top. Go steady, take your time and it's about 30 mins. Trainers needed. Only reason tour hasn't been given full marks was the lunch. Not great - cold and hard pasta - but pizzas looked great. Overall great trip! ??

Excellent trip. Our guide, Desiree, was superb and showed us all of the highlights of Pompeii - she was extremely knowledgable but also had a lovely manner and we very much enjoyed her guided tour. Pompeii tour just the right length with plenty of different parts of the site included. Knowledgeable guide. Using earpieces meant the guide could be heard easily. Lunch was reasonable although the venue was spoilt by the number of bees at the tables. The staff tried to divert the bees by putting out plates of dessert; but I think we should have been moved inside. The climb to thr crater of Vesuvius is not easy with some steep sections, but we'll worth the effort.

From pickup that was prompt to the drive to Pompeii was excellent. The lady tour guide was fantastic very informative. The restaurant was also very good and a surprise visit to the small lemoncella store where he makes his own concoction was an added great experience with the tasting having brought many bottles lol . The visit to Vesuvius was scary how the bus driver gets a coach round those tight bends is mind boggling. Vesuvius was very hot and a long walk . But worth losing weight for ?? ??

Being frog marched round Pompeii as if on a mission to beat any previous times the only time we stopped was the queue outside the brothel. Then it was take picture and move. Didn't get to really see anything. Having done this tour 13 years ago really disappointed in how its deteriorated. It would be great to combine with a trip to the Naples museum which was fantastic. Much better than this trip.

The guide Dana was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and gave lots of info. Had lots of time in each area. Lunch was good and the stop off at the shop for limoncello tasting was good. Would definately recommend for anyone wanting to visit pompeii and versuvius.

The lunch provided was nice but not to the same standard as the lunch on the Amalfi Coast Gems trip which was outstanding. We really enjoyed this trip but you have to be fairly fit as its a lot of walking in the heat and the mountain climb isn't easy.

Due to the very hot temperatures when we visited a few days ago I was dreading this trip but my son really wanted to go. However it was a great day out, although very hot there were areas of shade at pompeii, we also took lots of water and handheld fans. There are a few fountains around to refill your water bottles. We arrived at 9:30am and 2hrs with our guide Dara was enough she was very knowledgeable. The lunch was fantastic as was the visit to the shop before going onto Vesuvius

The visit to Pompeii and Vesuvius were both very interesting and enjoyable. The local lunch should allow choices of food. The tour guide Cynthia and Coach driver John were great. Cynthia was very an interesting guide who was funny and made the to tour very enjoyable. We would highly recommend the tour.

The day was great, made great by the amazing tour guide Fabianna, she was friendly, great knowledge and very funny, she really made the day, special mention to the driver, chiro. The food and service at the local restaurant was lovely. To nip pick I wasn’t keen on the stop at the local shop, felt more like a selling point to tourists than to look into local produce pressure to buy. The pick up point on the morning was very chaotic but as soon as we were on the bus was fab from start to finish.

Really interesting. Quick paced, but with huge numbers visiting Pompeii, guides have so can see as much as pos. Herculaneum nowhere near as busy, also worth visiting & can do in 2-3 hrs. Pompeii very large & only time to see part of, but with guides who know their stuff. We had 2 hours, but would take much longer to see all & too hot without shade for that to be a good option. Vesuvius approx 2.5miles 780ft ascent/descent great views. Can borrow stick & tip Euro1-2 when return. Good lunch!

The coach was terrible, like going back 40 years. The coach’s air conditioning didn’t not work, when the temperature is 30 deg C outside, the vehicle needs air conditioning. Terrible mode of transport.

Our lovely guide Fabi really made our experience! She was very passionate and knowledgable, also really funny - a pleasant to be guided by her. The volcano was an amazing experience that we had not planned into our trip but so glad we did! Pompeii was severely hot, but enjoyable and two things ticked off our list. Thanks again Fabi! X

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Maybe slightly longer in Pompeii to get some more photos would make it just perfect as we had to keep moving most of the time, but still very much enjoyed, and our guide was excellent.

Pompeii great visit. Lunch was cheap basic very small proschetta, small tomato pasta , 1 glass of water 1 glass of local red wine( not great) . Not value for money Versuvius very good although it would have been helpful to know what the walking terrain was like. It was steep, loose gravelly and quite dangerous

The coach driver was amazing to keeping us safe on some difficult roads. The tour guide was very good with such a big group of people and all the other people who were visiting the place with it being the first Sunday of the month She had lots of amazing information about the places and the surrounding areas and was very patient with us and others Thank you so very much

We were aware to take drinks with us but due to the weather being so hot we could only get drinks when we stopped for lunch, that or purchase from the coach driver. Other drinks or a stop would have been good with the weather. Pompeii was fantastic although we didn't get enough time and a lack of refreshments around site is something they should fix, but not a criticism of the tour. Pompeii was again great although more time would have been great as the walk is tough for most.

The tour itself was very good overall. However, it was spoilt at the end by us not being dropped off back to our hotel (the original pick up point). Nowhere on the confirmation or at the booking stage mentions this. So after a long and tiring day we then had another 15/20 minute uphill walk in the heat. Also, there is no need (and again, no mention of) for the stop and talk at the shop. This was purely hard sell. Nothing can take away from Vesuvius and Pompeii but small things matter.

Two people didn't turn up at the correct pick up- we wasted 20 mins and then drove to their hotel. I think there should be a ten minute wait time and then it is your fault - they were deposited back at the pick up point- despite loud 'I hope we can find our way back' -this despite saying it was deliberate during tour. Not TUI fault though that there are selfish people. Guide and driver excellent. The lunch stop at Vesuvius was amazing- truly fabulous food & service- keep using them!

An absolutely fantastic trip! Can’t recommend strongly enough. Two things off my bucket list. Pompeii was incredible and the tour guide was amazing. Then a delightful lunch on Vesuvius and a walk up to the crater (quite strenuous but well worth it). It’s a day I’ll never forget. The TUI tour was great value for money and incredibly well organised. A marvellous day.

Excellent guide. Full of knowledge and talked us through everything. Maybe smaller numbers in the group. The pick ups caused the delay in getting to Pompeii

We booked a small group tour and there were 31 of us. That is Not a small group. We had to get two buses to pompei and two buses back with very little communication. Pompeii was rushed by our guide because of the 2 hours it took to get there with the changing of buses and we had no time to visit the gift shop. Lunch was outstanding and I could not fault it. and so was Pompeii and Vesuvius. I would highly recommend visiting them but NOT on this tour.

Fantastic day out. Big group but split into 2 groups for Pompei so was fine. Tour was just a snapshot 2 hours but enough for me. The guide Sassi was brilliant. Wasn’t sure iPompei was my thing but it was amazing. Lunch was good and nice rest before the walk to the top of Versuvius. Hard work but very doable to get to the top. Recommend taking a stick from the man at the bottom for a tip. Really helped. Glad I did them both on the same day as fairly close and journey from Sorrento was slow.

Guide and driver were brill. Coach arrived 30min late, lots of people wandering around asking each new coach if they were the TUI tour. Would have been much better to have a TUI rep at the coach station to answer customers queries and concerns.

Some confusion with the transfer from the hotel with hundreds of people being dropped off in Sorrento for different excursions. Traffic issues didn’t help! Once on the trip’proper’ things ran smoothly. Fabiana our guide has astonishing knowledge and insight and made Pompeii come alive. Two hours is only a taster and would have loved more. Good local lunch in a lovely family run restaurant. Vesuvius was amazing.!Very busy but didn’t detract from a bucket list experience! Highly recommend!

Really well organised tour. Our guide Carmella was incredibly knowledgeable, and we enjoyed our time in Pompeii and Vesuvius. The bus does most of the work for you, with only a short (but steep) walk to the top. Lunch was good too, and even catered for allergies. Great experience.

It was very interesting obviously. The guide was good but went very quickly, it was like a route march! Although it stated that the tour was not suitable for those with walking difficulties it should point out the severity of the climb at Vesuvius. Even very fit people were talking about the difficulty of the climb.

Enjoyed everything about the day, great driver felt very safe, great guides both for the day trip and at Pompeii, very informative and a great sense of humour. group size just about right.
