Pick up and drop off 10 minutes walk from hotel. We’re were last to be picked up and got the last 2 seats on coach and it meant my granddaughter and myself were unable to sit next to each other from Sorrento to Pompeii. On the way back we were again the last to be dropped off after the coach made detours to hotels in other towns around Sorrento adding 45 minutes on to our journey.. The cost of the trip was also much more than advertised on the Tui website. I’d advise people not to go with Tui.

Giovanni our driver was superb and Dana our guide brilliant. Superb knowledge of Pompeii by Dana with snippets you certainly wouldn't get from a guide book / audio guide.Giovanni safely got us to Vesuvius so we could hike up the last bit to the top. Go steady, take your time and it's about 30 mins. Trainers needed. Only reason tour hasn't been given full marks was the lunch. Not great - cold and hard pasta - but pizzas looked great. Overall great trip! ??

Guide was great and very knowledgeable, it felt like he was telling us a story while wondering the streets of Pompi. Lunch was lovely and service also good. Mount Vesuvius walk was hard going up but worth it. Great day out, worth every penny. Thanks to our fantastic driver who did a great job. Only negative is there can be a long time before toilet vasilities-so something to bear in mind + having some small change to pay for using them.

Excellent trip. Our guide, Desiree, was superb and showed us all of the highlights of Pompeii - she was extremely knowledgable but also had a lovely manner and we very much enjoyed her guided tour. Lunch was great and we enjoyed having free time to explore Vesuvius at our leisure. Thank you for a fantastic day!

Pompeii tour just the right length with plenty of different parts of the site included. Knowledgeable guide. Using earpieces meant the guide could be heard easily. Lunch was reasonable although the venue was spoilt by the number of bees at the tables. The staff tried to divert the bees by putting out plates of dessert; but I think we should have been moved inside. The climb to thr crater of Vesuvius is not easy with some steep sections, but we'll worth the effort.

Our tour guide was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and able to give the information in a fun and entertaining way. The driver was very good and managed easily the challenging road up mount Vesuvius. The climb up to the top was as about 25 minutes. I found it hard going but worth the amazing view.

From pickup that was prompt to the drive to Pompeii was excellent. The lady tour guide was fantastic very informative. The restaurant was also very good and a surprise visit to the small lemoncella store where he makes his own concoction was an added great experience with the tasting having brought many bottles lol . The visit to Vesuvius was scary how the bus driver gets a coach round those tight bends is mind boggling. Vesuvius was very hot and a long walk . But worth losing weight for ?? ??

Lunch included was great. Tour guide was brilliant. Pompeii was huge but amazing to see the history. Mount Vesuvius was very good. Not if you cant walk and find it difficult to climb rough paths. Views from the top breath-taking. Only negative was the fact the coach ride was 4 hours worth of exhaust fumes in the coach. Air con did not shift it.

Being frog marched round Pompeii as if on a mission to beat any previous times the only time we stopped was the queue outside the brothel. Then it was take picture and move. Didn't get to really see anything. Having done this tour 13 years ago really disappointed in how its deteriorated. It would be great to combine with a trip to the Naples museum which was fantastic. Much better than this trip.

The guide Cynthia was fantastic from start to finish, extremely knowledgeable on both tours and even helping guests cross the road back at their hotels. Chirro the coach driver was superbly careful and confident. Lunch wasn't so great for me but friendly manager and staff.

The tour itself was great, Dana our guide around pompeii was very knowledgeable and explained everything we saw well. The lunch provided was nice but not to the same standard as the lunch on the Amalfi Coast Gems trip which was outstanding. We really enjoyed this trip but you have to be fairly fit as its a lot of walking in the heat and the mountain climb isn't easy.

We were surprised to find that because the vesuvius trip was on the Sunday the trip wor ked out a little cheaper than advertised. The meal at the restaurant near to vesuvius was well planed and well worth it. Although I usesualy suffer with my back, I was a bit apprehensive about doing the climb to vesuvius, but it was amazing to be able to do it. The guide and the driver was also very good. I would definitely recommend.

Due to the very hot temperatures when we visited a few days ago I was dreading this trip but my son really wanted to go. However it was a great day out, although very hot there were areas of shade at pompeii, we also took lots of water and handheld fans. There are a few fountains around to refill your water bottles. We arrived at 9:30am and 2hrs with our guide Dara was enough she was very knowledgeable. The lunch was fantastic as was the visit to the shop before going onto Vesuvius

Liked the door to door pick, which takes the stress out of having to track down public transport. Guide was great, he was very informative & constantly checked group numbers. Good that you could buy cold water on the bus. Tours were paced about right for us and lunch was delicious. Can’t really think of anything to change

The visit to Pompeii and Vesuvius were both very interesting and enjoyable. The local lunch should allow choices of food. The tour guide Cynthia and Coach driver John were great. Cynthia was very an interesting guide who was funny and made the to tour very enjoyable. We would highly recommend the tour.

The day was great, made great by the amazing tour guide Fabianna, she was friendly, great knowledge and very funny, she really made the day, special mention to the driver, chiro. The food and service at the local restaurant was lovely. To nip pick I wasn’t keen on the stop at the local shop, felt more like a selling point to tourists than to look into local produce pressure to buy. The pick up point on the morning was very chaotic but as soon as we were on the bus was fab from start to finish.

Pompeii was very interesting and had some very well preserved wall paintings, but did get quite busy at the more popular spots. Climbing the final stage of the Vesusius crater was quite hard, but well worth it.

Really interesting. Quick paced, but with huge numbers visiting Pompeii, guides have so can see as much as pos. Herculaneum nowhere near as busy, also worth visiting & can do in 2-3 hrs. Pompeii very large & only time to see part of, but with guides who know their stuff. We had 2 hours, but would take much longer to see all & too hot without shade for that to be a good option. Vesuvius approx 2.5miles 780ft ascent/descent great views. Can borrow stick & tip Euro1-2 when return. Good lunch!

Pompei was amazing our guide Jonny was great very clear and informative. The driver was very safe ob particularly steep narrow roads. Lunch was ok but would have preferred something lighter eg salad before climbing Vesouvious was heavy to digest before a climb. The mountain views were amazing but the actual crater was a dissapointmenrt I felt that we should have been given more information about the steepness of the climb lots of people were really struggling especially at 31 degrees

Our rep told us it was 40 minutes to Pompeii 1 hour 20 minutes after boarding the coach we were still in Sorrento picking up other guests with no communication from our guide as to why Pompeii tour was good she was very knowledgeable Lunch was very poor Fried mozzarella tasteless pizza and cream cake no wine offered just fizzy drinks Mount Vesuvius we were dropped off and off we went information by guide was good. 10 hours out 5:30mins on a coach is too much without any warning it wasn’t traffic

The coach was terrible, like going back 40 years. The coach’s air conditioning didn’t not work, when the temperature is 30 deg C outside, the vehicle needs air conditioning. Terrible mode of transport.

Our lovely guide Fabi really made our experience! She was very passionate and knowledgable, also really funny - a pleasant to be guided by her. The volcano was an amazing experience that we had not planned into our trip but so glad we did! Pompeii was severely hot, but enjoyable and two things ticked off our list. Thanks again Fabi! X

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Maybe slightly longer in Pompeii to get some more photos would make it just perfect as we had to keep moving most of the time, but still very much enjoyed, and our guide was excellent.

Firstly I would like to say our guide Danna was first class. She was very informative on our journey and around the site of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. I personally really enjoyed the way she deliverd the tour, full of facts and intersting stuff. She had a lovely personality too. Lunch was a simple traditional meal with wine included. Very enjoyable. Vesuvius was a steady but gentle 30 mins climb after the bus had taken you as far as it can. Recommend sturdy footwear for this part of the trip.

The driver and guide were both very good as was the lunch. My one criticism would be the length of time on the coach. I realise that you have no control over the traffic and the distance, but with lots of hotels to pick up from that are not en route it adds a lot of time on to the journey.

Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius excursion wad an amazing journey through history and nature looking at ancient ruins and landmarks. The your guide brought Pompeii back to life with her interesting stories. Only bad point is the poor lunch

This was an exhausting day. I wasn't quite ready for the level of the crowds! Guide very good. Lunch better than expected but hiking up vesuvius after this was hard work a lighter bite would have been better in the circumstances. I was expecting the guide to come up versuvious too so that was a bit disappointing.

Pompeii great visit. Lunch was cheap basic very small proschetta, small tomato pasta , 1 glass of water 1 glass of local red wine( not great) . Not value for money Versuvius very good although it would have been helpful to know what the walking terrain was like. It was steep, loose gravelly and quite dangerous

The coach driver was amazing to keeping us safe on some difficult roads. The tour guide was very good with such a big group of people and all the other people who were visiting the place with it being the first Sunday of the month She had lots of amazing information about the places and the surrounding areas and was very patient with us and others Thank you so very much

We were aware to take drinks with us but due to the weather being so hot we could only get drinks when we stopped for lunch, that or purchase from the coach driver. Other drinks or a stop would have been good with the weather. Pompeii was fantastic although we didn't get enough time and a lack of refreshments around site is something they should fix, but not a criticism of the tour. Pompeii was again great although more time would have been great as the walk is tough for most.

The tour itself was very good overall. However, it was spoilt at the end by us not being dropped off back to our hotel (the original pick up point). Nowhere on the confirmation or at the booking stage mentions this. So after a long and tiring day we then had another 15/20 minute uphill walk in the heat. Also, there is no need (and again, no mention of) for the stop and talk at the shop. This was purely hard sell. Nothing can take away from Vesuvius and Pompeii but small things matter.

Two people didn't turn up at the correct pick up- we wasted 20 mins and then drove to their hotel. I think there should be a ten minute wait time and then it is your fault - they were deposited back at the pick up point- despite loud 'I hope we can find our way back' -this despite saying it was deliberate during tour. Not TUI fault though that there are selfish people. Guide and driver excellent. The lunch stop at Vesuvius was amazing- truly fabulous food & service- keep using them!

An absolutely fantastic trip! Can’t recommend strongly enough. Two things off my bucket list. Pompeii was incredible and the tour guide was amazing. Then a delightful lunch on Vesuvius and a walk up to the crater (quite strenuous but well worth it). It’s a day I’ll never forget. The TUI tour was great value for money and incredibly well organised. A marvellous day.

The bus driver Philippo picked us up at hotel & was excellent and very safe. The tour guide lady was brilliant and extremely knowledgeable and interesting. The lunch at Sebethos was superb with the produce being mainly produced by themselves, including incredible red wine they’d produced themselves. Vesuvius was breathtaking and we were given plenty of time to get to the summit. The whole day back to our hotel was first rate & I would recommend to all ages. Thank you so much x

The only bit I think could be improved is the lunch. I think there could have been a salad choice for picky eaters. I don't eat pizza and I'm not a pasta lover. But that's just me. My husband loved the meal
