The skip-the-line access is not possible at the dome or at St. Peter's Basilica security line (although it is possible for guests entering via the Vatican Museums, who use a different door), so you may need to spend some time in unavoidable queues. Your guide will use the time well though, entertaining you with stories and pointing out the incredible details of St. Peter's Square

Leider statt einer 3 ständigen Tour nur 2. Waren aber auch nur zu zweit, Hatten nicht so das Gefühl das unser Tourguide begeistert war nur mit uns zu gehen. Wurden dauernd gefragt ob wir überhaupt dieses oder jenes anschauen möchten z.B. Krypta, heiliges Tor ) , auf der Kuppel waren wir alleine.

Der Treffpunkt war gut zu finden und wir waren in einer relativ kleinen Gruppe (ca. 10 Person). Unser Guide war exzellent, sehr informativ und sehr enthusiastisch. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Om 7:45 uur verzameld op pleintje dicht bij de Sint Pietersbasiliek. Dat was vroeg, maar echt een aanrader. Het was rustig in de koepel, in de kerk en in de catacomben. We hadden een fantastische rondleiding, die zeer goed te volgen was.

A day before our tour we were asked to change the starting time from morning to afternoon.
We were not so happy but agreed.Unfortunately we got no information that the afternoon tour is not with dome climb and papal crypt.So we were very surprised to see the Sistine chapel and not our booked tour.

We zijn om 8.00 uur aan deze excursie begonnen. Door dit tijdstip was het nog redelijk rustig in de badiliiek de gids was goed verstaanbaar en vertelde humoristisch. De tocht door de tombes ging snel en was wat feitelijk wat saai. De overige wandelingen, door de St. Pieter en op de St. Pieter werden prima begeleid. Ook onze 13 jarige kleinzoon was tevreden.
