Guided Visit to Corpus Christi Festival in La Orotava

For this occasion, every year the intricate sand paintings are carefully ‘drawn' by the artists who spread the sand using their hands. The centrepiece is a huge sand carpet with a religious theme, laid out in painstaking detail according to ancient tradition, using a variety of coloured lava sand from the craters of the Cañadas.
