Het vulkanische Santorini ligt ten noorden van Kreta. En op deze dagtocht met de snelle catamaran zie je het mooi eens van dichtbij. Santorini ligt rond een kolossale krater in zee die is ontstaan door een vulkaanuitbarsting 3.500 jaar geleden. Het is één en al zwarte kliffen met witgekalkte huizen en kerken met blauwe koepels: alsof het zo uit een ansichtkaart van Griekenland is gestapt.Eenmaal aan land, verken je de bezienswaardigheden van het eiland en hoor je tijdens een panoramische tour alles over zijn geschiedenis. Ook bezoek je een dorp waar de witte huizen, geplaveide straten en tavernes als een waterval naar beneden lopen.Je hebt ongeveer 90 minuten de tijd om Oia te verkennen. Dit is het dorp met het mooiste uitzicht van Santorini. Vanaf de hoge rotspunt heeft het uitzicht over de krater een hoog wow-gehalte. Dan ga je verder naar Fira, de hoofdstad van het eiland. Je hebt ongeveer een uur de tijd om wat lekkers te kopen en in de leuke winkels en boetiekjes rond te snuffelen.

The company running the trip are very professional, knowledgeable and highly organised. Liliia was our guide and she was amazing - I learned so much about Thira from her! It was a long day of travelling but the sights of Oia and Thira city are so beautiful and a must see! Be prepared for the streets to be extremely crowded but there is enough free time to take it in. We have been this September and we’re told it was less busy. Good taste of Thira and now I want to return in the future for more!

Utflykten var bra organiserad. All personal gjorde mycket bra ifrån sig. Vi hade en väldigt bra guid. Det som var mindre bra att det är inte så mycket tid man har på själva ön så det blir ganska stressigt, man önskar att man hade mer tid att se de två fina byar Oja och Fira för att de är verkligen fantastiska. Det är värd att besöka Santorini, vilken fantastisk ställe.

Santorini is just like the numerous photo’s we have all seen. A definite place to cross off the bucket list. My kids (9 and 12) were also highly impressed with the trip to Santorini. Unfortunately some passengers were late onto the bus so we lost time on our scheduled second stop. My view is if people are late to the scheduled departure time, the bus should go without them. We shouldn’t lose time because others are too self-absorbed.

En fantastisk utflykt. Hade bara lite otur att det var mer trafik än normalt enligt guiden när vi var där. Så det blev kort om tid i både Oia och Fhira.

For 6hours travelling(3hour boat ride one way) you actually only get less than 3hours on Santorini. The village of Oia is so overcrowded its hard to actually enjoy the little time you get there.We were glad we got to see the beautiful scenery and blue domes, but wish we had a more time to explore.Felt the trip was extremely overpriced for what you actually get.

The coach was late in the morning, the boat was very unstable that all the people on the boat were losing balance when walking to the toilet and had to grab everything so they didn’t fall ! Was expecting the boat to be more stable for its size ! When we arrived to the ticket office the bus just stopped and gave us no information we’re to go , we all got out and it was very confusing with long queues and no signs for Tui ! When returning every bus was there except for ours bus H , waited 40 minut

Great day. Santorini really is breathtaking & should be on everyones bucket list however the travelling is a hard slog & true travel times isnt upfront & honest on the booking system. Confirmation says the day is 8hrs however like previous reviews, ours lasted 17hrs. Picked up at 5:20 & 1.5hrs to port followed by 3hrs on boat each way. No TUI staff on board & no communication from on board crew until it was time to dock. Great trip if you dont mind the travel.

The organisation was very good and the guide was very good. We were taken to both Oli and Fira. The both places are extremely crowded and very similar from a visitor’s point of view. Personally I would visit only one of them and then either visit the volcano or had a swim on the beach. As I was buying the extension online, I didn’t have a choice of seats on a seajet or additional selection of the travel around the island. It came into the conversation with the guide, but it was late.

The not-queing process at Rethimno was ridiculous, disorganised 'bun fight'. 2 hour delay for the boat with no explanation. Limited cafe facilities on outgoing journey. Had a good amount of time in each of the listed areas. Guide was informative. Due to delay of boat, trip was delayed. Guide advised us to get food at 2nd stop off, which we duly did. Boat offered free food on return journey as apology for 2 hour delay, not required as we'd been told to eat at 2nd stop! Got back late. :(

Santorini itself was beautiful, and I'm glad I did it despite the hassles. Having said that, 6 hours on a boat is a long time in one day and the amount of time hadn't been communicated to me. It would have been nice if the boat had a bigger outdoor area with proper seating. The guides were below average compared with other tours and weren't very organised re what buses to get on etc. But it is Santorini so it's worth it for the staple destination

There was no TUI rep on the bus or at the port, so we were not provided with the necessary forms or information about what to do on arrival at the port. The Greek tour guide (Mama Joy) was fantastic but more information and support from TUI with regard to timings and options would have been useful.
