Il centro storico di Rethymno ha qualcosa che fa venire voglia di continuare a esplorare. Avrete a disposizione un'intera mattinata per girovagare a vostro piacimento, prima di trascorrere il pomeriggio sul vicino lago Kournas. Sta a voi fare ciò che desiderate: seguite la vostra bussola interiore e lasciatevi trasportare.Il centro storico di Rethymno è piuttosto compatto e pieno di attività. Un labirinto di stretti vicoli collega il porto vecchio alla cittadella della Fortezza. Tutto ciò che si trova nel mezzo risale all'epoca veneziana e ottomana. Oltre a taverne e negozi, si incontrano chiese di tutti gli stili e moschee. La moschea di Veli Pasha è stata recentemente ristrutturata ed è ora un museo paleontologico: vale la pena visitarla.Si prosegue poi verso il lago Kournas. Circondato dall'imponente catena montuosa delle Montagne Bianche - e unico lago d'acqua dolce di Creta - avrete poco più di un'ora per immergervi nell'aria fresca di montagna, nuotare nelle acque tranquille o rilassarvi sulla spiaggia sabbiosa.

Tui office staff were unhelpful. We were having problems booking online so rang, as it said in the text we had, and all they said was book online. The description of the excursion online was limited, we didn't even know you were allowed to swim in the lake as no one in person to advise us. Not having reps regularly in resort is not good for Tui's reputation or the guests enjoyment

I enjoyed all of it but maybe a bit longer to look round Rethymno .If you do the fortress then the shops in the old town it can be a bit rushed

Loved rhythm and lake kaunas, even though we had torrential rain for 30mins- first rain for 5 months ! We had enough time at each destination. Guide was excellent and made journey very interesting. Only issue was that did not pick up from Mike Hotel and disappointingly it doesn't seem that any other excursion transfers from this excellent hotel

The guide was very informative, friendly and helpful. The only down size was that the coach wasn't very cool, needed better air conditioning with a full coach of people.

Bful Town, but visit much too rushed ... same at Lake Vournas, barely an hour.
