Quelle meilleure façon d'explorer le sud de Sal qu'au cours d'une matinée à pied et à deux roues ? Cette aventure empreinte un itinéraire pittoresque au départ des salines de Santa Maria en direction de Kite Beach jusqu'à Serra Negra. Non seulement vous aurez l'occasion de découvrir certains des meilleurs endroits de l'île, mais cela vous permettra aussi de vous dégourdir les jambes.Aux marais salant de Santa Maria vous êtes attribué un vélo et un casque et le plaisir peut commencer. Vous pédalez jusqu'au célèbre club de plage Mitu & Djo à Kite Beach. Géré par des champions de kitesurf, il doit son nom à la foule de kitesurfeurs qui affluent ici. Vous ne prenez pas le vent mais vous avez quelques minutes pour reprendre votre souffle et regarder les pros sur les vagues avant de nous remettre en route pour Serra Negra.C'est après environ une heure de vélo que vous pouvez apercevoir le panneau du point culminant de Sal, à un peu plus de 100 mètres. A partir de cet endroit, deux pieds valent mieux que deux roues, et la dernière étape vers le sommet se fait donc à pied. La vue d'en haut en aura valu la peine.

Hello, We had a lovely time cycling around and having a conversation with our guide - Danish. Got to know a lot of interesting facts about nature of Sal and also what impact the tourist industry had on the nature. Never imagined that something like going on quad-bikes in the dunes would have a devastating effect on the lizards, turtles and so on. Also we really enjoyed going up to the top of a mountain to have good look around the surroundings. Very recommended.

Firstly the guide throughout was brilliant, he was friendly knowledgable about Sal and Cape Verde in general. The cycle was perfect for the ride across the multi terrain route. Interesting facts about Santa Maria, the salt plane, surf kite beach and then to heights where the Osprey’s nest

Just the 2 of us on the tour so was really nice. Our guide Carlos was really friendly and so knowledgeable and passionate about the island and the environment giving us lots of interesting facts along the way. We cycled via kite beach and the salt mines which was really interesting plus had a little stop of at the local indoor market. Nothing was rushed and the pace was ours to set. Thank you Carlos for a great morning!

Carlos the guide was excellent. Knowledgeable attentive and kind. Good information on everything geography, politics , history, environment. The bikes could have been better. Gears didn’t work very well.

Really enjoyable morning and got to see a few different sites. The guide (Frances) was excellent. Found out more about Santa Maria, the salt mines and a lot of info about the wildlife around Serra Negra. Cycling not too fast, although is suited to people confident on bikes. Hiking was a short sharp blast and some level of fitness recommended. After being a bit unsure about booking the trip, i would highly recommend it.

Carlos was a great guide. The tour and local information was great. Getting to see Santa Maria, the salt flats, kite beach and the views from the walk up the hill were well worth it! You need to be reasonably fit for this one but if you are and want a great morning out I would definitely recommend

Excellent excursion-the guy really knew a lot about Cabo Verde. The tour was a good combination of exercise and sightseeing. Climbing up to the top of the zip wire was quite challenging, but the reward was the spectacular view. ??

Disappointed that the toilet had not been checked as soon as the airplane took off i went to use the loo and there was no tissue. Overall the experience could have better particularly when landing in the Uk. The flight was not smooth.

A great morning cycling through parts of Santa Maria, the salt mines and kite beach learning about life on Santa Maria and the important conservation work. Our guides Francisco and Diana , two marine biologists, were very knowledgeable and great fun! We walked to top of Sierra Negra for great views. Bikes were not e bikes but comfy and easy to use - terrain not always smooth but easily manageable. Got to understand more about Sal with a good workout. A really enjoyable morning.

Some customers may want a helmet, as a group of 4 we weren’t bothered. An element of fitness would be required and maybe should be mentioned. Excellent informative guide (Frances) nothing too much trouble well paced and awareness of our safety

Amazing guide who was very knowledgeable about the island, it's culture and history. He was very patient and stopped regularly during the hike. What an amazing view from the top. it was well worth the climb! The bikes are very comfortable and easy to cycle on along the town and countryside/beaches. A fantastic morning trip!
