The visit to Kykkos Monastery was lovely as was the visit the hilltop tomb of Archbishop Makarios III, however we had so little time at both places just under 1 hour at the monastery and 20 mins at the hilltop tomb which was in no way long enough to fully see and experience both places. The overall journey had stunning views but the coach was dated, scruffy not very clean with air con that didn't really work making the journey stuffy hot and uncomfortable.

Trip to Kykkos was lovely. Very good coach driver extremely confidently and obviously used to driving very carefully on mountain roads. The guide certainly knew her stuff and was very informative and pleasant. Only criticism is it would have been good to have a little more time at the monastery to wander freely. Quite a few people commented on this however the stops and breaks at restaurants were nice and it was good to know we were giving some business to local people. All in all very good

De excursie was erg leuk met stop in Panagia met de Frida Kahlo prenten en mooie tegels. Het Kykkos klooster was indrukwekkend alleen wat weinig tijd om echt het hele klooster te bekijken, zou mininmaal 1,5 uur moeten zijn, zodat de lunch wat korter kan. De gids, Liza met een Z, was erg enthousiast en weet veel te vertellen van Cyprus over veel verschillende onderwerpen, religie, middelen van bestaan en sociale leven. De busreis was soms wel uitdagend op de bochtige weggetjes. Geslaagde dag.

The overall experience was very good. However the food was acceptable but not exceptional. The coffee was poor. Time was difficult and I felt as if another 15 minutes could have been made available to allow visitors to engage with the monastery and resting place of the Arch Bishop Makarios.

We had an excellent day ...there was plenty of time at each stop the food or lunch was a buffet with plenty of choice..our guide Liza was very knowledgeable and informative....our driver was incredible .....be mindful that the drive into the mountains is through very windy roads and anyone who suffers with motion sickness may be affected... travel sickness tablets may be required ...can highly recommend.

Having worked in Cyprus 28 years ago, it was a great ride down memory lane, the guide Liza "with a Z"" was incredible, informative, humorous and very glamorous. Well paced day although last drink stop felt a little unnecessary as we just goy off the bus, drank a drink and got back on the bus, the village was inanimate. Also huge shout out to Pierre-is the driver, was also a great character, very diligent in his driving and he is to be praised too.

Content of the tour is very interesting and the guide added a lot of local knowledge which gave good context to what we being shown and told. The mountains, monestry and memorial are all must-see places. The meal was enjoyable.

This was a wonderful trip from start to finish. Guide very good and informative as was the coach driver who drove very carefully around all the hair pin bends. Stopped at a lovely little Frida Kahlo themed coffee shop in the mountains en route. The monastery was inspiring and beautiful. The buffet lunch provided at a local restaurant was excellent and there was also a souvenir shop next door. We had another short stop for tea or coffee on the way back.I would highly recommend this tour.Thank you

The coach was very poor quality, the seats moved, some were stuck in the laid back position, the air conditioning wa very poor. The hammers for smashing the glass were just hanging. The price of the trip in would expect a better quality coach

Beautiful scenery and knowledgeable guide. Meal provided was excellent. Only drawback for me as an older person was at the monument I was unable to get up to the top to see it fully as very steep walkway. Other than that was an amazing day.

Both our tour guide & driver were excellent. Mum and a couple of guests had mobility issues and the driver ensured the steps were lowered. And the both helped a couple of ladies who had worse issues than mum. Local guide Nick was brilliant, his knowledge & passion was outstanding Had read some reviews re lack of drink but we had stops for drinks and took water with us. Lunch was good quality

The guide seemed to rush us through the whole day. I have visited Kkykos monastry before with TUI and the experience was very good and respectful of the fact we were in a monastry. I visited this time with a friend , who had not been before, but as practising Christians we expected better. it seemed as if the guide missed the whole point of the place of worship. She appeared to give us her opinion of religion.

Tour consisted of: Picked up 0830 20 minute stop for lemonade! (While the guide and driver took breakfast probably FOC) 35 minute stop for Kyykos 1.5 hour stop for lunch 25 minute stop for coffee Arrived back at hotel 5 pm Incessant talk on the bus with the guide on religious history of the island (fair enough we’re going to a monastery) to her mother speaking 9 languages, her son getting married with 2500 guests, her son meeting the island president for coming 2nd in beach football blah blah

Our guide - Lisa was fantastic, just as she was on our previous tour to Ahprodite's Rock. She made the day an experience with her polite friendliness backed up by decades of knowledge, in-depth knowledge of not only the places we visited but also the islands history, the fauna and how she and her family fitted into that picture, along with the odd song that we didn't understand, but never the less La La La'd too! I consider that we were lucky to have her as our guide - thank you Lisa.

Not much monastery in the monastery tour! The side tour to the tomb of a dead President was unnecessary. Kykkos monastery, church and museum is spectacular and far more time should be spent there. Lunch at a souvenir shop was inevitable as were the coffee / loo breaks. The guide gave us 40 yrs of experience; Cyprus tax and pensions; the guides children, mother, family, history; all the hotels built and demolished, everywhere; weight, diet and health advice...and some info about the monastery.

The Kykkos Monastery was stunning but the tour could have be a 3/4 day. We spent so much time driving on the coach and at one point going in the wrong direction just for a coffee stop. 20% of passengers also weren’t fit enough for the slight hills, why were they sold the tour? Coffe was instant and should have been Cyprus coffee for a local experience. Buffet was dismal and not very Cypriot.

Die Route der Tour und die Sehenswürdigkeiten war gut, kurze Fotostopps bei wunderschönen Aussichten wer toll gewesen da Fotos aus dem fahrenden Bus leider nicht viel bringen. Das Essen war gut aber wenn man den Teller nicht gleich bei der ersten Runde am Büffet voll gepackt hat, hatte man leider das Nachsehen. Das Buffet wurde sofort nachdem alle einmal rum waren wieder weggeräumt. Die Reiseleitung gab im Bus viele Infos aber bei den Stopps war Sie immer sehr schnell verschwunden

Klooster ok, hoewel na kerkbezoek aan lot overgelaten. Weinig verkenning van het Troodosgebergte zelf, bv geen berg- of dorpswandeling. Lunch en koffiemoment zeer onverzorgd tot slecht. Overenthousiste gids die heel graag en veel over zichzelf vertelde. Zeer strikte timing tot op de minuut na liet geen kans voor eigen initiatief (bv wandeling, terrasje).

We enjoyed the overall trip and the Troodos mountains. Unfortunately our guide Liza talked far too much. She never stopped. At first, people were listening but after a while we all switched off. We don’t need to know all about her family and the St John’s ambulance brigade. We had lunch at Stavros restaurant, the food was okay but we were ripped off with the bill. 2 TINY glasses of wine & 1 coffee €15.50 ?? Taking advantage of holiday makers !

Our tour guide was a lady aged 65 who had been a tour guide for over 40 years. She was very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting things about Cyprus. She made the trip very enjoyable.

Our guide was excellent, the Kykkos monastery, church and the tomb of Makarios lll were stunning. I think if we had less time at the two coffee / comfort breaks, we could have had more time exploring the monastery and seeing the museum there. As others have mentioned, the road is windy so those with motion sickness should be aware.

When we arrived at the lunch stop, there were 2 bus loads already starting there food, from a buffet not big enough to cope. With all the chaos, we decided to forgo the lunch and had a drink at the bar. The guide was still asking me if I would like to rejoin the lunch, but it was mayhem and we both felt disappointed by the poor organisation.

The restaurant wasn’t of a good standard in fact two coaches arrived together and it was badly organised. The second coach should have waited until our coach had been served. Lisa our guide was excellent her knowledge was superb never stopped talking and we particularly liked when she told us of stories her 97 year old mother told her great facts about the good old days …… Well done Lisa and well driven by the coach driver.

A good long day out with great interesting places to visit. The coach driver was amazing, coping with endless hairpin bends. The lunch was excellent. I found the tour guide a little difficult to understand

1..Getting off the coach on the busy road side, 2.. Being told we can Not use the toilet unless we bought a drink, on the first stop. 3.. Not being told wine/drink did not come with the lunch, Very embarrassing when the waiter had to come on the bus, for the drinks payment, we should have been told there would a charge for drinks. 4.. Lunch food was BAD, guide 'LISA' told us there would be a good choice of food. 5.. Guide gave us a lot of wrong information, she should learn to get her facts

A very informative and interesting guide, fantastic views from the mountains and the places we visited were impressive, showing a side of Cyprus that we wouldn’t normally see.

The tour guide was very good. Knowledgeable, informative and gave a real insight to life in Cyprus. Driver good, competent and made us feel safe. The real let down was lunch. Bland, uninteresting, stale bread. Very poor selection for vegetarians. Only 1 pasta dish. It had meat in it. One boring salad available. Other looked appetising, had a dressing on it but had meat in it. No dressing offered when asked. Staff surly and unhelpful. Would highly recommend changing lunch venue.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed her singing and her commentary throughout the day. Lunch was very good. Could not fault any part of the day. Well done to all involved. ??

Great
War eine Tour in Englisch - Tourguide hatte eine sehr deutliche Ausspracche. Fahrer war spitze - Gebirgsroute mit sehr engen Straßen, er ist jederzeit sicher und verantwortungsbewusst gefahren. Landschaftlich beeindruckende Tour, Kloster Kykkos war ein guter Höhepunkt. Vielleicht wäre ein Stop in einem Gebirgsdorf mit Möglichkeit, dieses anzuschauen noch ein guter Zusatz.

I liked the tour itself as in the places to visit so that organisation part of it was fine but it was spoilt by the pushy guide who wouldn't stop talking about herself although she was informative with her knowledge. Everyone was moaning about her attitude. What broke my heart is that she appeared not to careless about the infirm . She only became a little more caring after I made audible remarks & scowled a few time. I know she's being doing this 40 years but there is no excuse. She spoilt it

Really informative guide,so much I've learnt about Cyprus,the driver I had so much confidence in with the twisty mountain roads,never felt unsafe.could have done without the afternoon coffee stop not long after lunch and not very nice coffee.all in all lovely day

Eine abwechslungsreiche Fahrt durch die grüne Berglandschaft des Troodos, das Kykkos- Kloster mit seinen bunten Fresken und Mosaiken ist das Highlight der Tour und die sehr versierte Reiseleiterin hielt viele interessante Informationen für uns bereit. Leider stand die miserable Qualität der Lunch- und Kaffeepausen in keinem Verhältnis zu der sonst sehr empfehlenswerten Tour. Einfach weglassen und dafür etwas mehr Zeit für Besichtigungen bzw. Verköstigung in Eigenregie geben!
