Während der Tour besuchen Sie das Fischerdorf Marsaxlokk - eines der malerischsten Dörfer des Landes - mit seinem Wochenmarkt und der berühmten Blauen Grotte.Wir beginnen mit einem kleinen Einkaufsbummel in Marsaxlokk. In diesem malerischen Fischerdorf findet am Sonntagmorgen ein großer Markt unten am Wasser statt. Werfen Sie unbedingt einen Blick auf die bunt bemalten "Luzzu"-Boote, die im Hafen schwimmen. Neben fangfrischem Fisch gibt es hier auch Obst und Gemüse aus lokalem Anbau, maltesische Weine, Aufschnitt, Käse und Lederwaren.Danach geht es zu einer der berühmtesten Natursehenswürdigkeiten Maltas - der Blauen Grotte von Wied Iz-Zurrieq. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine 50 m tiefe natürliche Höhle mit einem riesigen Bogen, der sich bis zum Meer erstreckt. Die Grotte hat ihren Namen von dem Licht, das vom Wasser reflektiert wird und eine schillernde blaue Farbe erzeugt. Optional ist eine Bootsfahrt in die Grotte möglich.

The market itself is very interesting with a combination of stalls intended with the locals including a wide variety of fo ods. There are also stalls to interest tourists like we were. We purchased a hat, a tablecloth and two prints. There are photo opportunities with the colourful boats in the harbour. The blue lagoon was delightful with an optional boat trip well worthwhile and not expensive. The scenery was delightful. An early visit recommended.

The actual trip was good. Could have done with a little longer at the market but it was fine. Unfortunately although I was back looking for the bus in time they were about to leave without me. On arrival the bus wasn’t parked so I was looking for it. I was a little earlier than they said when first started looking. Then they were just driving past me when they spotted me and stopped. If they hadn’t of seen me they were off. I was alone and although it worked out I was a little shaken.

Marsaxslokk was a really crowded market with less than an hour to try and push through, not really able to stop and browse at stalls. Public toilets are not open so when you got there you had to spend time finding a cafe to buy a drink and use the toilets first. Blue grotto really disappointed that the boats weren't running, the only reason I booked the trip was to go there and the guide told us half way through it wasn't going to happen. Should have been said at booking point that may happen.

What you don't get from the pre-experience information is how many people will be there, how busy it will be, the rocky access, the difficulty in finding anywhere to sit if you're not actually going swimming. My ratings are based on the shortness of the visit (for the time we were there, it wasn't that bad), and the basics were good, the tour operators efficient and helpful.

This was a good trip . There was plenty of time at the market. We couldn’t do the boat trip due to the weather but that couldn’t be helped . We saw the view of the grotto and were able to photograph it .

We bought this before we flew to Malta and discovered we could have paid 20 euros each instead of £27 had we booked with iSeeMalta on arrival. The trip was enjoyable, but the return journey involved a boring walking tour of the guide's village to reach the feeder coach back. It was a lovely calm day and the boats were running to the caves.

The blue grotto boat trip is optional because it is totally dependent on the weather you are probably better booking a local boat trip on the day after checking the weather conditions. Marsaxlokk is pretty but the “locally produced goods” look like they’re mass produced in China

Wunderschöner Ausflug. Die Blaue Grotte und die Bootsfahrt wunderschön. Der sehr nette Reiseleiter Paul erzählte uns viel Informatives über Malta. Am Markt viel zu viele Menschen und Gedränge. Doch dafür kann ja der Organisator nichts.
