We've done this trip a few times on our many visits to Mexico, don't think we've done the luxury version before though and we are so glad we did. The boat wasn't grounded, it wasn't a party boat. Drinks were good. Staff were brilliant. We'll definitely book again when we are in Mexico next (probably next year) thanks guys!

The snorkel part was cancelled, so turned into a boat trip and stay on the Island. Not sure how you could cancel, as only told when there! I would take this an non snorkel trip, and if happens, bonus. I selected the late leaving 2pm and that gave us 2 hours on the island. The food was taco and spicy snack but as IBS could not eat it. Drinks a plenty and staff were great. The main beach is packed, but you can hire a buggy or taxi to another part.

Unfortunately the sea was too rough to go snorkeling, so ended up having lunch at 11am which was a bit weird. There was meant to be paddle boarding too which wasn't offered. So 2 of the main reasons doing this we were unable to. We did have longer on the island though which was lovely.

The sailing on the catamaran was fantastic, all the staff were super friendly and made it very enjoyable. Drinks service was fantastic throughout, the food wasn't too our taste and we declined this - would have been nice to have an idea of the food options before the trip so we could bring our own snacks. Island was stunning, however after docking you go through the Black Pearl, whos staff are very pushy for sales and intimidating. Unfortunately we did not get to snorkel due to water conditions

Brilliant cruise, excellent staff, food and drink excellent, swim in coral reef fantastic and in the bay Not so good being dropped at a horrible tourist attraction mobbed by loads of people selling you a load of tut. Wanted to hire golf buggy but swindled for 2800 pesos when really only 700 pesos for 2 hours horrible visit to island which could have been better if the buggy’s were organized as part of the trip couldn’t wait to get back on the boat after 3 hours of nightmare

Driver collected us - large sign saying tips are his salary … same on boat - they came round with a hat in front of us before we got off the boat. Intimidating and unfair for what is already an expensive trip.

we enjoyed the the sailing and crew service very much but found the length of time 3hrs on the Isla mujers a bit to long 1 and half hrs / 2hrs would have been more enjoyable.

Island is beautiful and amazing place. An individual island map with the beach club location would have been perfect addition as we weren’t sure which one it was, but we found other things to do. The boat guide did tell us when we landed but the area was so busy it was difficult to take it all in. We were steered away by the rep from taking a cab tour or a golf cart but wish we had take those afterwards.

The van picked me up at 9.30 am but we arrived onsite 2 hours later as it stopped in different hotels, especially at Hilton which added 30 mins each way as the road was super long to get there. I came back at 7 pm for the same reason and also a lot of traffic. The snorkelling activity was cancelled because of weather conditions. The boat was quite crowded with 30 to 40 people on it. The island was quite busy as well but the shallow crystal clear water at the secret beach was worth it.

The food was the main problem. Started of ok, but went downhill. Lack of allergy labelling, especially on the deserrs. I have a peanut allergy, which made eating a bit of a challenge. Also on food, my partner got severe food poisoning at one of the a la carte restureaunts, which didn't stop until after the holiday. Tipping was another issue as staff seemed to expect a tip all the time, which I know americans do, frequently, but it seemed that if you didn't tip often, you got less attention.

Reading some of the reviews on TUI and Trip Advisor, left me feeling slightly nervous. The trip was amazing. It is a day trip once all the collections have been done. You spend about 2-3hrs sailing snorkeling and some swimming lunch is provided. The guides are brilliant. If you don't want to be hassled by store staff simpley say "No Gracias" they will leave you alone. I would highly recommend this trip

The transfer on the way there was terrifying, was speeding and we nearly crashed multiple times. Once we got there the staff were incredibly attentive, drink in my hand the whole time and doing anything to help. The island itself was heaven, incredible beaches, food and people. A must see!

I wouldn't class the boat trip as a luxury cruise - the boat was crowded with limited seats available - at one point we had other people sitting on our feet as they had nowhere else to go. The food was basic and the toilets were not pleasant. Snorkeling was good with all equipment included, sufficient amount of time given at Isla mujeres

The trip was fantastic! It is a long day, we stayed at El Dorado suites and pick up was 9:15 with drop off at 8pm so a really long day but so worth it! Our boat crew were fab, drinks flowed all the time, Santiago the guide was funny and informative. The island is just stunning!! We went more inland away from the beach crowds and found some little gems of shops and Snappers bar for food and drinks! Despite other reviews saying the island was expensive it wasn’t at all! Highly recommend!

It was a highly enjoyable day with great weather although sea conditions restricted some of the activities. The VIP trip has limited numbers so plenty of space onboard to enjoy the experience and company of other travelers. Lunch was tasty and drinks plentiful.

The catamaran and snorkeling were fantastic. The crew and our guide were wonderful. However, when you arrive on the island it is crowded, over commercialised and a thoroughly unpleasant 3 hours. Would not recommend.

Great trip to the island, catamaran was good fun, Marco & the team kept the drinks coming, beautiful waters for swimming, snorkelling etc. 3 hrs on the island was slightly too long, 2 hrs would have been ok. Shop owners are very insistent you buy from them so prepare to be hassled. Biggest downside was the travel time to Punta Sam. It says it’s a half day trip but if you’re staying south of playa del carmen it’s around 4+ hrs to get there/back. We left at 9.30am & got back at 8pm & missed dinner

The actual excursion was great, lovely staff on board the boat and very generous with the drinks. Was very good value for money. Only thing is that it’s not a tour organised by TUI, and you’re kind of left to work out the transfer process by yourself as a result. Would still recommend, just wasn’t 100% what I expected.

Cannot fault the people on the day and the sights we saw but Tui don't have correct information on this tour. It is not a half day tour - we were out of the Hotel for 10 hours. Secondly, it isn't exclusive to tui. We were the only English couple on the tour. Tour is very good but tui's information is poor.

Amazing day from start to finish. Was made to feel looked after & overall great staff on board the catamaran. Our tour guide was a great guy. We set off on the cruised whilst drinks were given out & food. Food was ok .. Snorkelling was fantastic. Jumping off the boat was great too. We then cruised to the island which was amazing. Couldn’t fault this experience at all. Would defo recommend & great value for money ??we highered a buggy to drive around island for a hour 20 dollar defo recommend ??

Amazing boat ride and service from crew. Beautiful scenery and snorkelling was great. Island was lovely but 3 hours is a bit too much time on there. Main issue is with the timings on the app. It says it’s a half day trip 4-8 hours but we were out for 10 and a half hours and missed a dinner reservation because the timings were wrong. Transfer times must be included in the trip information for clarity.

Absolute fantastic trip. It states half day trip but is actual a full day. We never got back to Riveria maya until 8.30pm. We enjoyed every part. We travelled with a 16 and 11 year old. The boat crew were fab and couldn't do enough for us. Pierre our tour guide was great! The island itself is beautiful. Overall would highly recommend.

Paid extra £30 for ‘luxury’ cruise with paddle-boarding. Very brief time to snorkel. Not allowed to swim due to currents, therefore no paddleboarding either. Total 3 drinks from leaving to return, food okay. We were on a boat which was mainly a large family group with at least 12 children under 10. I think this has a direct negative impact on the swim/snorkel/paddle board. Left on island 3 hrs, whilst boat took other trip. Exploited to spend money on island, not value for money.

The food was good, they catered for varying needs. Drinks were good. Snorkeling people enjoyed but lots of trips all at the same time didn't give it the luxury feel. Issue with communication from TUI meant we didn't know that our alot had been moved. Meant rather than a morning we were moved to the afternoon but got home close to midnight

Experience overall was excellent. Crew very capable & safety conscious. Boat very clean. Went on the morning excursion so didn’t really want to eat ‘lunch’ ( cold chicken pasta, guacamole & nachos) at 9.30 am! Didn’t appreciate the pressure that was put on passengers to tip the crew when a box was shaken under your nose until you put something in, explaining quite forcefully that the tips were part of their salary!

The obvious thing is put lots of sun cream on as not much areas to get out of the sun. Activities were great, I did snorkelling and guide informed us of the dangers ie currents and we got into the water holding a rope . Those not happy had a chance to get back in before rope is taken in and boat moves to next position to pick us up. Next stop is a swim in shallow waters off the island and paddle boarding before heading to the island. Beaches in the north of the island were stunning .Recommend

This was a mixed one for me, stared off very confused and in fact pretty hopeless. The pick up was late (again, all three excursions were late) - the driver made up time by driving like a mad man - I’m not joking - as I couldn’t communicate with the driver, we were dropped off at a port with no info, one of the other travellers could speak Spanish, therefore I used them to understand what I needed to do. I joined a queue, and hoped the best. Once we were greeted by the rep leader, all was goo

Great trip. The guide and staff excellent. Food and drinks also extremely good, just note it would be better to call the meal ‘brunch’ rather than lunch. I wasn’t expecting to be given my lunch at just after 9am, however it was great.

Costas and his team made the day for us! They were fun and the day was a fabulous day out. Our only issue was ‘lunch ‘ was served at 9:35am. Us and many on board didn’t eat it , a waste of time and food. Would have been better to not provide any food . Drinks provided were great and were plentiful. Lovely day , thank you

For the price of £354 it is an absolute rip off. The hotel charge £260 for the same trip. Four people, 2 Adults and 2 kids. We Spoke to some hotel guests and the hotel experiences were better value for money than TUI. Not even close to competitive. I’m shocked at the name of the trip. Luxury sailing cruise is mid selling customers. It’s an old catamaran that’s rusty and and at best mediocre. My definition of luxury is not the same as TUI. Disappointed for the amount of money paid and the experience overall.
