What to expect
With its peeling Spanish buildings, 1950s American cars and cigar-chomping locals, Havana looks and feels like something from a movie set. And this tour immerses you in the capital's charms. I enjoyed seeing the old town. However, the trip lasted far too long. It was listed as being eight hours but actually lasted 11.5 hours. I think you make customers aware that this is a very long tiring day.

The tour itself was excellent. It was a bit chaotic at the hotel at the time of departure. There were numerous coaches collecting people for different trips many to Havana and the was no information or rep available to ensure everyone knew which coach to get on.

Comfortable tour bus, arrived on time. Excellent English-speaking guide. We were taken to all the important and historic parts of the city. It was good to have a little free time in each place without feeling rushed. Lunch (acceptable) was included, with drinks. The last place we visited on the tour (a bar), we felt we were ripped off (as tourists). Am surprised that the tour guide didn't direct us to a better value establishment

The tour guide was called Navy. She was excellent, full of knowledge and history of Havana and Cuba in general. She was very caring and passionate about her country. The choice of restaurant was fantastic, lovely meal and very hospitable. The only thing that upset us, was the lack of wages that the tour guides get and how they rely on tips to meet their daily living costs. We would recommend this tour to other travellers.

This was a very good & a very informative tour of Havana, our tour guide had excellent knowledge & we ended the day knowing more about the history of Cuba & Cuban life now, sadly the lunch that was provided let this tour down massively from the service given during the lunch & poor food & drink

Overall a good experience the guide was informative and funny . but that was somewhat ruined by the coach toilet not working, As this was an eight hour experience I feel the bus should have not been in service unless everything on it was functioning. As I had a bit of a upset tummy I had an unpleasant two hours on the return journey to the hotel

Great day out, very informative guide, beautiful city and nice walk around. Lunch is rather a snack so don't expect much. Really wanted to have a bit more free time in Havana to have an opportunity to explore the Capitol and Castle. Would recommend jumping on the retro car for a half an hour tour in your free time.

Guide -Ray-10/10. The lunch provided was shockingly bad. Tiny portion and not edible - our guide also agreed. I suggest finding another restaurant to book. I was severely disappointed at the info provided by TUI regarding the pick up time. Our voucher stated 9am - only the bus arrived at 8:00am so we missed our original booking. Our TUI Rep advised he has requested this to be removed many times without success. For the cost I would expect the info given to be correct and to be reimbursed.

We also enjoyed an open top old American Cadillac tour in our free time organised by George so that we knew we were with reputable drivers. The only negative was that the food was awful!

The info stayed hotel pick up 9 but it had a start time of 8 we got there 8:45 and the bus had gone. Was re arranged but not the day we wanted and wasted a day of our homey moon and we had to cancel another excursion . The lunch was nice but the restaurant was infested with flys every person eating had at least 10 flys around them. Landing in drinks ect but beautiful city and good tour guide

The day was just right to see the old and new sides of Havana. We had some time at the end to do our own thing too. The guide was very informative and gave us a lot of information (especially about the currency and their reliance on hard currency) which we would not have got elsewhere. He really opened our eyes to life on the island.

The tour of the city was excellent with a very engaging and informative guide. The lunch was not too inspiring as the food was not great or the environment it was in; there were too many people for the size of the room. It was good to have some free time at the end of the tour but would have been better if we had been situated in a more commercial area and not a side street.

The Havana 'Colonial' (basic) tour was a great way to experience Havana. Our tour guide George was fantastic - knowledgeable, passionate and looked after the group really well - sharing interesting facts about Cuba and Havana. Actual tour was a 2hr coach (with refreshments & Toilet stop), a walking tour of the old city, lunch and a drink at the fort (good by Cuban standards), a bus tour of the new city, then and hour free to wander a different part of the old town. day was 8am-6pm. recommend!

Javier was very funny and knowledgeable. The tour packed a lot in but it would have been nice to have more time on foot with the guide in the city to cover a bigger area. Also lots of details were incorrect on the paperwork. There were 2 pick up times printed of 8am and 9am, which we had to confirm the the hotel rep. He gave us tickets, but had we not queried the time, we wouldn't have known to collect them from him. It also said no food and drink, but we had a meal and drinks on the day.

The tour guide was excellent and very informative! I learned so much and it was a great experience. He engaged well with everyone and several nationalities attended. We visited many important sites and he provided ample time for exploring. Half of the group hired classic cars to complete the New Havana tour which was amazing and at $40 per car which was an amazing deal and experience. The drivers were engaging and entertaining. I had the best time visiting Havana!

Tour guide and driver were excellent. Lots of historical facts and context, which made the tour quite insightful. The free time in the afternoon could have been at a better area, ex State Building and museums, rather than in the middle of Old Havana. Time would have been better spent.

Brilliant tour… the tour guide Javier made the trip. He was so knowledgeable & helpful with everything. Lunch was nice. The only negative was there was not enough time spent in Havana. The time spent at the castle before lunch seemed longer that necessary & id have preferred that time spent in Havana. It left only an hour for free time which wasn’t enough. Overall a fantastic trip

The guide was good and the bus was comfortable. Overall we didn't feel like we saw much of Havana and would have liked more stops. It was good that we got a short guided tour at each place and then free time to walk around but at the end of the day we felt disappointed. We would have liked to do the new Havana Classic Car tour but we were told they don't accept Pesos - all we had with us. That's not TUI's fault, but that could be listed in the info when booking to make us aware beforehand.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and certainly added great value to the trip. The tour is a taste of Havana but probably not long enough to do it justice. As with a lot of Cuban tours they include meals which restricts the amount of free time you have. If I was going to rebook the my holiday to Cuba I would split it and have a few days in Havana first. However for one day it's a very informative tour of Havana and with a good tour guide provides a wonderful insight into Cuba

Guide knew her stuff and was really useful, the tour takes you to the tourist hotspots and during your free time you will find it hard to avoid people of all ages begging for money. The trip is interesting, but you do spend a long time on the coach. The restaurant wasn't great (although the food was ok) there were just loads of flies over everything and they expected a tip before they'd served desert.

Amazing trip! Tour guide was a Cuban local who provided lots of knowledge and history about Cuba and Havana. Tour included a traditional Cuban lunch which we did not expect plus alcohol. Guided tour of Havana’s main sights plus an hour and a half free time to explore plus a visit to rum/cigar shop. Definitely a must if coming to Cuba.

Da TUI aber resistent gegen Verbesserungsvorschläge ist, empfehle ich vor Tourbeginn den örtlichen TUI Repräsentant zu kontaktieren. Nervig sind die Besuche der Verkaufsveranstaltungen der Reiseführers. Sonst wear alles wie beschrieben

Resort rep made us swap tickets as though booked through you we hadnt apparently booked the trip without her paperwork. Infor given by her was misleading. Also walking tour was rushed . We were shepherded to a cigar shop and expected to buy rather than get to see Havana.

We enjoyed what we saw of Havana but unbeknown to us the 10th of October is a Bank Holiday in Cuba so most of the attractions, museums, shops, restaurants etc were closed so it took some of the “shine” off the experience. Had we known this beforehand we would have booked the experience for another day. We feel that Tui,perhaps, should not have sold the experience for such a day !

The city is amazing to see with a lot of history behind it. You must ride in one of the American cars around the city - great experience. The tour guide ‘Ray’ was very informative and knew a lot about the history, therefore me and my partner learnt a lot. Would definitely recommend this trip!

the trip was good however, there was no free time to do anything suitable, so we only got time to have a drink and not to look at the shops etc etc, the guide did not seem to do anything to stop us being pestered by beggars even though we kept saying no. however the food was lovely and it was nice to stop off at some of the sites for photos and learn about the history

Jorge, the guide was so knowledgeable and he let us entertained for the whole 2 hour bus journey which was very impressive. He also explained everything anyone w asked about Cuba, for example the money system and exchanging currency, which many were confused about. The tour itself was incredible and Havana is an absolute must see. The restaurant was said by others to be the worst part but we found it to be okay, nothing special but not bad. More free time would be nice but not a bad word to say.

We really enjoyed this trip. It was just enough time to visit famous places and explore. The guide was extremely friendly and informative. We paid extra to go in the American cars which in my opinion made the whole trip. The cigar shop is a must. Ensure you take water with you.

The staff at TUI have been very kind and helpful. The lady I had booked my all inclusive holiday with over the phone has been amazing and been very patient even during the busy times. Since I haven’t been on a flight for a couple of years, flying to Cuba -a 9 and a half hour journey made me very nervous since I get really bad anxiety and ear pain. However this time, I had the best flight experience I’ve ever had. Thanks to all the kind cabin crew & pilot(s) for the beautiful landing. Excellent

General sightseeing ok, guide very knowledgeable but at times needs to tone down some of the info don’t need to know the ins and outs of the mafia or catholic role in cuba. Also needs to know when a pause In giving info required. Could do with more free time 1 hr not enough to do anything other than get a drink. Didn’t see floridita bar, would be nice to stop at Capital building or outside the famous National hotel rather than drive by. Half way toilet stop need alternative when busy ques for toilets are stupid. And toilets not always working, no paper no hand drying facilities.

The check in at Manchester airport was the worse I have ever had, things then just got better , the flights ,and food and drink on board were good. We arrived in Cuba the transfers was quick . The check in at the hotel was quick , our room was excellent and the hotel was far better than expected, we had a wonderful 2weeks holiday, we would give10 out of ten for the cleanliness, throughout hotel ,the staff ,including cleaners , the beach , pools and the layout of hotel , I would recommend this hotel to anybody. But I have to say the food could have been warmer , but the worse thing was the information about the shows , the daytime activities ,towards the end of my holiday I find a screen which was in reception and it showed whats on and to find out for the day you on took 5 mins . It should show wants on for the day that you are on , I ask the animator what was on that day and he told me well I think it’s ? He didn’t know. .. There is an open deck bus that that picks you outside the hotel and takes you round the resort ,you can get on and off when you when you want , 5 euros. . On my way home the transfers from the hotel was to early and we had to wait 30mins in the bus outside the airport be fore we checked in .The fight home was good , but the time you had to wait at Manchester airport for you case to arrive was unacceptable. But overall we had brilliant Holiday Roy
