The Roaring Twenties in Tunisia saw the international jet-set descend upon Hammamet. Their destination? Dar Sebastian – an elegant villa that was the epicentre of glitzy parties attended by the likes of Wallis Simpson and Coco Chanel. Tour this hidden gem before exploring the city's magnificent medieval medina home to souks, spice markets and more.In the leafy suburbs of southern Hammamet, hidden behind trees, is the whitewashed Dar Sebastién. Built by Romanian playboy George Sebastian in the Roaring Twenties, the airy marble halls and the colonnaded swimming pool were playgrounds for the likes of Paul Klee, Wallis Simpson and Coco Chanel. In later years, Erwin Rommel and Winston Churchill also lived it up here – if only the walls could talk.The gardens boast views over the town's medina. Next, you'll be able to wander its alleys of tightly packed whitewashed homes dominated by the Kabir Mosque minaret – made famous by Klee in a painting.

Es handelte sich nicht nur um Deutsche Reisegäste, weshalb viel Zeit für Informationen verloren ging, weil der Guide immer abwechselnd Deutsch und Englisch übersetzt hat. Insgesamt hat er sehr schnell gesprochen und hat nicht gewartet bis alle Gäste da waren, insbesondere in der Villa. Dort gab es viel zu wenig Informationen. Leider ist es dort z.T. auch im Außengelände sehr verdreckt und ungepflegt. Die Medina ist sehr schön, aber dort hatten wir zum Schluss viel zu wenig Zeit.

Wir waren im Diar Lemdina und das Hotel war klasse, könnte hier und dort einen neuen Anstrich gebrauchen aber das Essen war super, die angestellten sehr nett. Mit diesen Parks die dort dabei sind, ist es richtig gut für Kinder. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden wieder dorthin reisen.

Die Anlage mit Gebäuden und Grün ist sehr gut strukturiert, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Alle Beschäftigten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das angebotene Essen war sehr vielfältig und gut. Der Strand wurde täglich „beharkt “ .

Ein schöner informativer Ausflug mit viel Abwechslung. Der Spaziergang durch die Neustadt in Hammamet war nicht so interessant. Die Friedhofsbesichtigung reicht völlig.

Es war ein kurzweiliger Ausflug der auch gut mit Kindern machbar war um ihnen wenigstens einen klitzekleinen Eindruck zu geben wo sie Urlaub machen. Der Guido war sehr nett und sehr bedacht auf alles und jeden.
