What to expect

Like shimmering mirages on the desert horizon, Sousse, Port El Kantaoui and Monastir are a trio of Tunisia's must-sees. Explore ancient fortresses, atmospheric medinas and the magnificent Bourguiba Mausoleum on this full day tour.Your first stop is Monastir. Bring the past to life and admire ancient architecture in the old quarter, before seeing the intricate minarets, mosaics and archways beneath the golden dome of Bourguiba Mausoleum. The city's star turn however, is the Ribat Fortress – an early Islamic stronghold that has guarded the waterfront for over a thousand years.Next up is Sousse, a city where history is etched into every cobblestone. Wander through the bustling medina, a treasure trove of trinkets and handicraft, then make your way to the contemporary marina of Port El Kantaoui. Here, you'll round off the tour with some free time to meander among the luxury yachts dotting the harbour.

We really liked this tour - the guide Mo and the driver Slah were really great and very knowledgeable. The tour ran to time and the restaurant choice was perfect :) The only issue we had was that the TUI app sent us to another hotel to pick up rather than the one we were staying at.

Tour guide was excellent, lunch was amazing. Some of the stops were longer than needed eg for Médina, and could’ve had slightly longer in the rebat. however overall the split of the day worked well

This tour was great and the guide Mohammed was really interesting and gave excellent information and insights to Tunisia and its history. Very well spoken English. Lunch was OK with 2 choices of meat or fish and there was a kids choice also. All drinks had to be paid for. Definitely worth doing to see the sights of Sousse and Monastir.

Pickup was on time and there was only 5 people (including us)this excursion, started at Monastir then back to Sousse and Hammamet. Views at Monastir Fort were breathtaking but there was no signed route to take around the fire except barriers where it was too dangerous. The first president’s mausoleum was very picturesque and clean. Lunch was again pre-ordered and was very tasty, probably the best I’ve had in Tunisia, but it was dark. Sousse was the cheapest Medina to shop at during our stay

We really enjoyed the trip. It was very interesting and the guide was very informative. We were surprised to have lunch in a French restaurant and the food was excellent. Over all a very good day and very good value for money. The only thing we would of liked was when we were in Sousse it would of been nice to go into the Rabit there.

Was good overall with good tour guide - just a few issues: 1) everyone was left to wander the markets in Sousse which is daunting for most of the group as you could easily get lost and is very chaotic (recommend an option of elderly or solo travellers to have a guided tour). 2) we had two hours at a harbour just north of Sousse and probably very nice in the summer, but during the winter, definitely couldn’t fill 2 hours as shops and bars were closed - recommend changing this Part during offseaso

Excellent

Great guide and good mix / balance of travel and site seeing. Worst point was being one of first collections and last drop offs made the day very long, I'm sure the planning could be changed to first collected first dropped off to be fairer ( would not have been significant impact on overall travel)

Really informative, but not all English speaking on coach there was also French people which had to translate too which let the experience down. Otherwise really good and felt safe.

Everything was good apart from the restaurant taken for lunch / spent too much time on lunch about 90 minutes / the host was just mixing around with French customers and serving them first / we felt left out and didn't like the atmosphere. Change the venue for lunch / dont spend so much time on lunch.

I enjoyed visiting the Monastir the most, the tour guide was quite aware of the founder's history Habib Bourguiba. Although I wasn't that there will be a visit to the Bourguiba's tomb; it wasn't mentioned in the excursion description! The lunch meal we had could've been better! As it took the restaurant a whole hour to bring the orders that we made early morning; each one of the group had to choose either a meat steak or a fish for lunch, when we first met with the tour guide.

De bezoeken volgden elkaar wat snel op. Misschien was het beter om te lunchen tussen Monastir en Sousse en het bezoek aan Port El Kantoui te schrappen.

Great

Good variety of exploration for adults & teens: Interesting fort (more English information would be good). Fascinating & beautiful Bourguiba Mausoleum. Sousse shopping centre (department store) handy, with set prices, similar to those we’d previously negotiated at a market, without the hassle, ideal for gifts & good to have the market option too. Excellent lunch, the best quality, quantity & service we’ve had in Tunisia, for vegans, big meat eaters (eg Steak) & children alike. Relaxing marina.

This tour offered a little bit of everything, history, culture and shopping with no haggling! The journeys weren't too long, great free lunch (you have to pay for your drinks) and the tour guide was excellent.

Great

The morning was spent enjoying a couple of historical sights - a fort and mausoleum - with our knowledgeable guide. This was followed by a very short hour at the souk. Not enough time to choose, haggle and buy at any more than a single stall. We then stopped for a marvellous three course lunch. After eating we were taken to the marina (which was not supposed to be on our itinerary) for a look at some yachts. I'd have preferred it if we'd had more time in the souk and none at the marina. But hey!

The tour crammed a lot in, but without feeling rushed. The meal at L’Escargot was the best I have experienced on a excursion, wonderful surroundings and service. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made it a very pleasant and enjoyable trip.

Guide was informative but could have more time in Monastir and Sousse and less at the Port which was effectively closed. Excellent restaurant for lunch. Overall, a very enjoyable day.

Great

The only problem I found with this excursion, that we only had 30 mins in sousse to look around the medina , every one I spoke to felt un happy about this as they wanted to wander the street and buy some bargains , I would say a hour and half would have been better, After that we went to a marina which we had 40 mins , all we did is have a drink . I think it was more practical to not go to the marina and have the extra time at sousse Madina instead . That’s why I would not book again.

Went to see someone's burial area, his family got to be there also! I mean I know he means something to the local but to me it's meaningless... They treat him like a god he was just a person in government! The Fort was OK then they take you to sousse and allow you to walk around. I think really if you were a couple maybe just pay a taxi driver for 1 day and travel to the 2 areas yourself would be cheaper and easier as you don't need to wait for everyone. The 2 day Sahara tour was much better
