Wonderful trip great food and boat .the guide was very nice and easy to understand..the only thing that I didn't like was the transfer it was in old vehicles and a very rough ride .

Great fun for an evening activity, highly recommend for anyone looking to do something away from the resort for a little bit but doesn't fancy hours and hours in the sun or on a bus. Really unique dining experience on the ship, great service with smiles and jokes, good food and plenty of all inclusive drinks. Incredible views back across the coast and impressive skyline & sunset.

The boat trip itself was a lovely and very pleasant event. However because of the distance away from our hotel it meant we were travelling to and from the boat trip for longer than the trip itself and we were not made aware of this beforehand - it there detracted from the boat trip. It could do with there being a similar event from a port nearer the hotels, say from Playa del Carmen or such like, instead of having to travel all the way to Cancun, an hour and a half away

The boat trip itself was fantastic but was seriously let down and completely ruined by the travel! The whole trip was advertised as 2-4 hrs! It took 2 hrs to get there and then we were put in a taxi with many more people on the way back so it took 3.5hrs to get back to our hotel! It ruined the whole experience

The staff and service was amazing! The dinner was delicious and drinks were free flowing. The sunset was beautiful and the saxophonist was so talented. Very good experience!

Everything was excellent however, I do believe customers should be informed of the travel time to and from there pick up locations as from our hotel is was a 4 hour round trip. It was a sunset cruise and the weather changed and the guide did offer us the option of cancelling and rebook due to the rain and strong winds however, after we delayed for a while we all went onto enjoy a very pleasant evening with good food, drink music and excellent service from all the staff although we had no sunset

Only problems we had was with the food. We both ordered the steak option but were given lobster as well which neither of us enjoy. Also the food was served virtually cold except for the baked potato wrapped in foil. Cruise itself was beautiful and the staff were all excellent.

Pros: Lobster, salad, cheesecake and cocktails were delicious, service outstanding, music beautiful, boat spotless. Cons: communication - told less than an hour before trip was cancelled 1st time due to storm despite numerous messages to TUI (it was clear it wouldn’t go ahead since the morning) and steak was pretty raw so my partner was left without the main meal which is disappointing considering the price (he has chosen steak option).

The ride to Cancun was quite quick as there were only 4 passengers in our minibus. However, the ride home was long and slow due to multiple drop offs, which meant, in the end, we were on a minibus for longer than the cruise itself, and got back to our hotel very late, so we were tired from the journey, which took away a lot of the enjoyment of the cruise.

The tour was great, the staff were always filling drinks and making guests laugh. We stopped at a great spot to watch the sunset. The food was incredible and great portions. Very romantic, the saxophonist was so good and a lovely addition. Only thing I'd say that could have been better was the TUI transfer got us there an hour and a half before it was time to go on so we had to sit in 30 degree heat in our nice clothes. It was very hot! But it didn't ruin the experience for us at all!

The trip was absolutely amazing the food and staff on the boat could not do enough for us to enjoy the sunset cruise. Unfortunately, the transfer to the harbour and return to the hotel were terrible. When we were picked up there was no communication at all. The journey back was very scary due to driving dangerously.

Loved this cruise. Staff were amazing and worked so hard and we met some amazing people. The only negative was that the company tried charging us 40usd for docking fee and transportation beforehand. We did explain we booked it through Tui but still insisted we paid it, but then half an hour later told us it was a misunderstanding and refunded us the charge. Overall a fantastic experience!

A nice setting and vessel, good evening experience, and we were very fortunate with the weather. It is also a good opportunity to meet other couples if that's what you like, as well as spending time with your partner. On the minus side was the food. Starter only plain strips of lettuce in a cheese sauce with a few croutons, and there were no other choices offered. For main, I just asked for the steak meal, but got no more steak than my partner who got surf & turf - I should have had extra steak.

Food was disappointing. Salad was bland, not choice on how you wanted steak cooked and desert still frozen slightly. Location and vessel was great. Staff were great. Saxophone player was great.

The transfer from hotel took 2.5 hours, this is because the traffic is so bad, apparently this is normal, however coming back was fine 40 minutes, it just added a bit of stress seeing that it was a romantic dinner, however food was beautiful, sunset amazing and they constantly offered drinks , all inclusive of course , that made up for the traffic??

Not exactly a romantic candlelit dinner, however very nice. Travel from grand serenity is way too long considering 3 hours on a boat, travel was 2 hours back 3 hours getting to the excursion. Taxi that picked us up had a flat front and something selse wrong with it and should not have taken us to the excursion. It was dangerous. Nice evening on the boat but would not go on it unless staying in cancun as too far to travel

The cruise and dinner themselves were wonderful and we couldn’t have asked for anything more during that portion of the evening. The food was nice, the saxophonist was a joy to listen to while watching the sun set. However, our transport to collect us from the hotel was nearly an hour late with no apology or explanation as to why when he did arrive. Our transport on the way back was also unusual as the driver was pulled over by the police though we don’t know why.

The cruise, staff and overall experience was very good. We really enjoyed it. It was well run and staff couldn't have been more helpful. The company used for the transfers were bad though. We had two different drivers and they both drove so fast and aggressively myself and other travellers remarked on it. It felt dangerous.

Riu Hotel staff very attentive. Grounds and beach lovely, however our first room had rust on the bath and the water came out yellow with a smell of sewerage so we had to change rooms. I did email Riu prior to our stay to ask if we could be in a room next to my mother who we wanted to surprise for her 80th birthday to be told that was an extra $40 a day! TUI was awful prior to departure with information regarding which forms to complete before flying to Mexico. Information given two days prior to departure was incorrect but I had two nights with no sleep worrying about completing the form. On the morning of our flight I was still trying to fill in the form. When we got to the airport I asked the TUI rep checking us in to help me and he advised the form is not required. Why couldn’t the TUI Rep who I spoke to at your Torquey branch not give me this information?

We came here to celebrate our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! All the staff were friendly and attentive. We loved that we got to dance at the end on the top of the boat with the saxophone player. The only thing I would say to make the experience better is to give you your photographs when you get off the boat. It was a little windy when we went & a couple next to us photograph flew into the sea!

This was a perfect way to spend Christmas eve on our honeymoon, we were handed a drink as soon as we boarded and we’re never left without one in our hand, we watched the sun set with atmospheric saxophone music playing, one crew member offered to take a few photos for us on our phone when he saw us doing selfies, the food was fantastic and was served once the sun had set so we didn’t miss anything, we ended the evening with a bit of dancing on the deck. A perfect night out.

we have been on this trip several times in the past and although the Halls in was out of commission on this occasion it didn't detract from the evening. Sergio and the crew delivered a great evening as always. it's nice to have a couples excursion with no children. Dancing on Cancun lagoon by moonlight.
