Want to explore Barcelona under your own steam? This trip is for the independent visitor who knows where they want to go and what they want to do. A great way to get into the centre of Barcelona without the hassle of crowded trains and long tedious journeys on public transport. The Catalonian capital has a little something for everyone, whether you want to tick off the top landmarks, or spend the day browsing boutique shops.The best spot for a bit of retail therapy is La Rambla, a tree-lined avenue packed with fashion stores and chic coffee bars. In the Old Town you'll find Gothic churches, an ornate concert hall, and the mighty cathedral or head towards the port, and you can see the hippos and monkeys at Barcelona ZooGrab a taxi right to the heart of the city to Gaudi's most famous creation, the Sagrada Familia or travel to the west of the city for a tour of Barcelona's famous football stadium, Camp Nou.

Barcelona was a good trip out, super busy but lots to see and do. Coach & guide was lovely, very informative! My only downside was the trip was advertised as 8hour to explore the city & it was actually 8hour with travel which was a little disappointing & felt a little rushed.

We enjoyed the information that was given by Teresa on the coach, she had a lovely sense of humour and was very friendly. the fact we could go off and explore by ourselves and found some very old and beautiful buildings, the market with its fruit stalls , cold drinks of evert flavour, fish and meat. And as as small group of friends had a wonderful time . Our driver was very good and a got us to our destination and back safely.

We have also done the guided Barcelona trip and if this is your first time in Barcelona I would recommend doing that one instead. We had 5 hours in total to explore the city

TUI guide Teresa was fantastic, full of information and humour too. Carlos the coach driver was friendly too. 5 hours just wasn’t enough. We literally walked the entire time we were there, Barcelona is very expensive and price for trip was expensive for just travel. However I would recommend as it is well organised and comfortable coach journey direct and ideas of where to go during your time x x

A great way to experience Barcelona at a great price. Plenty of time to wander around and take in the sights and also to relax and have a bite to eat. We felt safe all the time but were mindful of Barcelona’s pickpocket reputation too. We were savvy and safe and enjoyed over 5hrs of free time.

We enjoyed how easy it was to navigate Barcelona and the freedom we had it is such a beautiful city. This trip is such an easy way to get to Barcelona, only took an hour and a half, easy pick up points too. However 5 hours isn’t long. Also, we were told on the coach, a taxi to the cathedral would have been €12, but when we got out, he charged us €30 so please avoid if possible. We walked there (50 minutes). Micheal the tour guide was lovely and very kind.

The bus that took us to Barcleona was great, very comfortable it was on time clean and great air conditioning. We had an offer so was good value and it worked out the same price. as local bus offers. We had 5 hours in Barcelona which was enough to see the sights, have food and do some shopping and as a family we really enjoyed. The bus driver was great and we were able to buy cold drinks at a very reasonable price. The guide on the bus was very friendly however and was available for questions.

When I booked for our family of 5, I thought that £31 per head was a little steep but I was wrong. The coach picked us up from our hotel and dropped us right back. The Tui lady, Theresa couldn’t have been any better, she gave us so much information on the drive to Barcelona that it actually made our itinerary for us. Drop off is at the Port, (helpful to know) we didn’t know in advance where we would be left. We had 5 hours which flew by. We didn’t touch the surface of the sights so would return

Teresa our guide was great, very informative with lots of useful tips. Once we got going the bus trip was quick but it took at least an hour to do all the pick ups which made it a 3 hour journey each way. It would be better if some of the pickups in Salou and Pineda could be reduced to speed things up. This would make it more comfortable for any guests who perhaps might have appreciated a loo stop.

Felt that 5 hours wasn't quite enough to do what we wanted. Unfortunately, there was lots of roadworks and other works going on. We took the sightseeing bus to get in as much as possible but only got 1 route and then after lunch looked around an area. Getting back on time to leave was a bit stressful in taxi. However did give us a feel of Barcelona

Great value for money. We booked as a couple and really enjoyed our day trip to Barcelona. Coach pick up was fairly straightforward and likewise on the return journey. Both the driver and guide Michael were fab too, really friendly and gave us some helpful tips for our visit. It's a beautiful city and in the 5 hours we visited we got round quite a bit of it on foot. We had a lovely tapas lunch (quite expensive by comparison to UK prices) but a really positive experience overall. Recommend.

The dropping point was far away from centre to walk into all attractions. We have done 18000 steps that day. Nice trip to get some point about Barcelona but not enough to explore. Will definetly come back on holiday there. The walk through shopping centre was nice.

The overall trip to Barcelona was great. The guide Theresa was great telling us a bit about the history of Barcelona on our way there. This made the journey feel quicker than the 90 minutes or so. We got picked up at half 8 in the morning and taken to Barcelona & picked back up in Barcelona at 4pm which was the ideal amount of time to see the sights. Would definitely recommend.

We had a really good day exploring Barcelona at our own pace having been given a map and some advice from our guide Teresa, who was fantastic by the way! Our 5 hours went quite quickly and due to the drop off point we had to get a taxi to and from the Sagrada Familia as it was too far for our children to walk. It was a great taster having not been to the city before and we’d definitely go back.

This trip can be whatever you make it. Barcelona is a beautiful city and you definitely need more than one day to explore. We had approx 5 hours on our own and took advantage of Micheal (the tui guide) extensive knowledge of the city. I would highly recommend booking this trip if you want to explore on your own and know we'll be booking again the next time we're in Spain.

We thought it unfair that being the first pickup on the coach and the last drop off, we spent nearly 2 hrs longer on the coach than the last pick up who got dropped off first. It would only have taken 10 minutes to go further down the motorway and reversed the drop offs going back to make it fair.

Mike the tui rep was excellent. Friendly with a great knowledge. We had 5 1/2 hours approx In Barcelona. We walked down la rambla, walked to la sagrada familia. Then from there walked to Barcelona beach. With 1hr to spare at the end when we sat down for lunch before getting back in the coach. Great day out.

The coach arrived on time, and the TUI rep was very organised and showed you to your seats (this was so you could sit with your party, no matter where you were picked up). The journey was great with lovely views along the way. The TUI rep was very knowledgeable and gave us all some great advice and tips on places to go, transport and just general safety. Enjoyed the time we spent in Barcelona and the ease of booking the trip with TUI was really good. However the amount of time we spent on the coach picking other hotel guests up meant that we were an hour in to our journey before we left our hotel area. We arrived at 10:45 and left at 16:10, barely 5:30hrs in Barcelona. This has to include getting to and from the dock area. Hiring a car and having the freedom would have cost the same.

Theresa the rep/guide we had for the trip was extremely knowledgeable about the areas we drove through and was very approachable if you had any questions. For anyone who is thinking about doing the door to door I would say do it because you can see pretty much everything if you aren’t afraid of using the metro. Other hint I would say is put some bug spray on because you will be eaten alive especially if you go up Montjuïc

Prompt arrival at pick up point greeted by a very welcoming representative who throughout the trip was informative and helpful. He told us exactly what would happen throughout the day answered all our questions as well as giving help and advice. Everything went as planned and returned to resort exactly at the time we had been given. Undoubtedly the day was enhanced by the professionalism and care of the rep who had time for everyone. I think everyone on the bus had a fabulous day.

The tour guide was fabulous, so friendly and informative along the journey to Barcelona. The coach arrived at our pick up and drop off points on time and drinks on the transfer we're very reasonably priced. (1 euro for bottled water and 2 euros for canned soft drinks). My only issue was the comfort of the coach. The seats had very little leg room and so it started to get a little uncomfortable after a while
