We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of walking through a rainforest, seeing all the plant life and some animals too. The guide was very friendly and informative and the views from the various bridges were breathtaking. A great day out that we would recommend to anyone.

Great

The journey to get there was long , the whole day start to finish was very long around 13h but worth it. The activities were great and we really enjoyed the hike around the park. We were able to see some wildlife which was a bonus.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive . Small group size so that was good. The travelling is a few hours but we were aware of this before we went on the trip. It was around a 12 hour trip and this should be explained before travel as it says 8 hours plus.

David was an excellent tour guide, he was so knowledgeable of the area and of Costa Rica and stopped the bus on the way to and from the trip to show us animals he had spotted. He made sure to explain everything thoroughly on the day, and his enthusiasm really made it a great trip! The journey was a little long, but there are toilet breaks on the way. Just be aware it is an early pick up and breakfast is not provided, but if you're happy to travel the distance, then it is well worth it!

Great

Fantastic trip and the guide was very knowledgeable. It would be good to have something to break the long journey back from the Hot Springs up - even if its just a stop off for coffee like the first trip Also, the "short cut" past the wind power plant is a poor choice when in a mini bus in the dark. I got thrown about in the back of the bus;.

Long drive from our resort. These areas are tailor made park areas that people are guided around. I kind of thought we would be hiking through and along trails that were not man made.

The rainforest walk was excellent and the springs was a nice way to wind down afterwards. The drive was VERY long. I appreciate that you have to drive for a long time to get to the rainforest but it would have been much better to be warned in advance how long the drive would be, especially with kids. There should be more information telling you about what to expect. We almost didn't bring swimming costumes as the paperwork didn't mention to bring them. So more information overall would be good.

the excursion was very poorly described on the Tui experiences site. It was offered as a suitable excursion from our hotel, yet to do so meant 9 hours travelling, for a 6 hours trip. Whilst we were made aware of this in resort and were therefore prepared, it was nonetheless something that would have been useful to know before travelling. The second part of the excursion said nothing more than thermal hot springs in the description. It turned out to be a spa setting that had been built to utilise the thermal water and was not authentic nor very different from a spa setting at home. Not worth visiting at all

Great

The rainforest part was good whilst the lunch and the spa experience was unnecessary and somewhat rushed. The experience was advertised as 8 hours yet it was 12 and a quarter hours from door to door. This needs to be emphasised in the booking process. Also a total rethink about the relevance between the two experiences contained within should be undertaken as they seem erroneous and at odds with each other.

Great

The tour didn’t give enough advance info, the tour was 12 hours not 8 which would have been fine had we known. Also need better info on what the activities involve. The guide was lovely and had he not been there to show us things we would have missed out.

Excellent

Amazing trip with a brilliant guide (Nacho) and driver ( Eric). It’s not cheap at over £500 for a family of four. We saw crocodiles, sloths, an Oscelot, lizards, birds, bats, monkeys and white faced coiti. Eric stopped the bus a couple of times for us to see sloths and Nacho was great at spotting the wildlife with his telescope. Hot springs were relaxing. Food was ok but not amazing - we had lunch at about 2.30 and were ready for it! Overall an amazing experience.

All tours in Costa Rica are very overpriced. Not just the tiu ones. Same as souvenirs and coffe. Unless you go to supermarket. Arenal Mistico hanging bridges it’s a must to see when in Costa Rica. Just be prepared fo pay 170dollars per person. Lunch and entries are included. The volcanic spa is great but again one drink at spa is 10 dollars so extremely overpriced. Hanging bridges in arenal are great but for wildlife river tour is much better jungle at arenal this too dense to spot anything

Time spend in the bus is 4 hours one way. Is far too long. You should make people aware that they will spend 8 hours in the bus. Hanging bridges are amazing, but you spend less than 2 hours in rain Forest.

Spectacular trip, but you need a head for heights and stamina for the climbs and descents! At least 6 Hanging Bridges up to 98 metres in length that will swing whilst being crossed but amazing views. Beware it is a Rain Forest and yes it rains, Ponchos can be purchased for those who travel light and without rain protection as we did. Plenty to see and learn from the guides. After lunch it is into the Volcanic Springs, which the higher up you go the hotter the water is. With only 73 minutes difference in Day Light between Shortest to Longest day the Sunset around 6.00pm on the return will be the Icing on the Cake.

Saw lots of animals the guide was very knowledge. It is a very long day though out by 7.30 and back at 9pm. Fab day so worth the experience. The bridges are great even though I don't like heights and the afternoon spa is just what ypu need

Great

The guide (Sophia) was excellent, good-humoured, enthusiastic, engaging, and knowledgeable. Although the rainforest and suspension bridges were interesting, it was disappointing that fauna was not in abundance; the promotional material should contain a rider about the dry season! Also, before entering the forest, it would have been helpful if the guide had pointed out the sign requesting visitors not to speak; we had some travellers who did nothing else on our tour! Food at the Baldi thermal spring was adequate and in good quantity, but overall this facility is not a patch on the gardens and spa at Tabacon. TUI really need to do better on this portion of the tour. Finally, the biggest surprises were; 1. No water was offered during the day, aside from the late lunch, and 2. The tour lasted over 12 hours, door to door. Suggest the promo material be updated to reflect the latter.

Great

The trip stated 8 hours and it infact took 13 hours. It would have been good to know that along with the journey time in advance. I messaged to try and obtain more info prior to the trip on Tui messenger but was just sent the generic listing again. Martin our ‘rep’ was nowhere to be found over the entire week so I couldn’t ask him. However, a great experience at the rain forest and hot springs waterfall. Only complaint is lack of communication prior the tour and when we first sat on the bus. We had no idea we’d join one bus for 30mins then stop for 30 minutes and join another bus. It should be made clear that it’s a 2 hour walk with 7 very high bridges that you will cross. Fine for me but any older guests may have had a shock. The guide, Jorge was a good guide but should have waited for everyone to cross before proceeding. Despite these few points, I loved it.

Great

Your was 13 hours long when marketed as 8. Guide never offered to take photos when others did. Ran late so had to run to the buffet at the spa. Never kept the group together. Guide was tipped $10 by a member of the group and never even said thank you.
