A cathedral has stood here since 604AD with the present cathedral now over 300 years old.Enjoy the beautiful decor of the vast Cathedral Floor before climbing to the famous Whispering Gallery with its unique acoustics. Continue to the Stone or Golden Galleries on top of the Dome for breathtaking panoramic views across London. The Crypt is the resting place for famous Britons such as Lord Admiral Nelson, the Duke of Wellington, and the cathedral’s architect – Sir Christopher Wren.

Prima rondleiding genoten. Aansluitend naar de bovenste ring gegaan, zeker de moeite waard.
Jammer dat men daar alleen geprinte toegangstickets accepteert. Ik had die mogelijkheid niet en dat gaf veel gedoe. Uiteindelijk door een zeer behulpzame medewerker goed geholpen.

Longue attente obligatoire aux caisses même quand on a déjà son billet et les horaires de dernière entrée et de fin de visite non respectés, ce qui a laissé seulement 1h de visite ce qui est trop.juste.

Het Moxy is een prettig hotel; vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Kamers zijn precies goed uitgerust, maar niet overdreven luxe. De wijk, waarin het ligt is levendig, maar daar merk je in het hotel niets van. De verbinding met de stad is goed; eerst bus dan metro, maar dan moetje wel aan de goede kant van de weg instappen. Verder was de fietstocht, die ik erbij had geboekt een aanrader! Op zondag, niet te druk met auto's en heel veel gezien! Leuke Nederlandse gids en relaxte fietsen!
