The Swiss city of Lucerne feels like it's been pinched from the pages of a magic-filled fairy tale, and you'll see its best bits on this trip. You'll start by visiting a lion monument carved into a sheer rock face, before heading towards the shores of Lake Lucerne – right beside the city, at the foot of a peak known as ‘Dragon Mountain'. The old town's close to the waterfront, and you'll set off on a walking tour past the Renaissance-style city hall and the banks of the Reuss River. Next, you'll cross one of the most unique landmarks – a covered bridge decorated with century-old works of art. Once the walking tour's done, you'll have some time to explore under your own steam before the transfer back to the ship.
