Mother Nature had a field day when she created La Palma and here's your chance to see some of the best bits. Departing the harbour our journey takes us in the direction of the Caldera De Taburiente National Park. Your first stop is at the La Cumbrecita viewpoint at the Southern part of the park, which is an incredible 1250 meters above sea level. You can choose to take a small walk to the Las Chozas viewpoint and take in the views of this enormous National Park, which is actually a volcanic crater, the biggest of its type in the world. Continue on and enjoy a panoramic drive through the Cumbre Vieja National Park. This is known as the volcanic route and you'll see why, as you pass by a line of volcanoes which wind like a snake along the ridge. Next up is a visit to Tajogaite, the newest volcano on the island. This volcano started erupting on 19th September 2021 with lava continuously pouring out for three months, and you'll get an up-close look at its lava fields and volcanic ash. Now the volcano has stopped, but the aftermath will continue for years to come. On its way to the sea, the lava flow destroyed more than 3,000 buildings, including the entire town of Todoque. Finally on your way to the little church of the Sanctuario Virgin De Las Nieves, they'll be a photo-stop at Mirador de La Concepcion, which offers up spectacular views over Santa Cruz de La Palma.
