Legend has it that in the Mirna valley lived giants who were so tall they could build settlements with their own hands. Welcome to the green Istrian hills – a place of mythical beauty that you'll explore on this half-day tour to Groznjan and Oprtalj.

The adventure kicks off Groznjan – an artists' colony, which is surrounded by green hills. It is rich in ancient churches, prehistoric sites, historic castles and palaces. It's also home to no fewer than 28 artists' studios. You'll discover every nook and cranny, and streets that lead to art galleries and other surprises.

Then it's time to take a break with a tasting of local Istrian delicacies, wine and olive oil at a tavern. Rounding off the day is visit to the hilltop hamlet of Oprtalj. Here, you'll stroll down ancient streets with great views over the surrounding countryside.
