Wander through the completely traffic-free streets of Hoi An during this half-day guided tour. In this city, it's not hard to imagine yourself amidst the sailors and merchants of the 18th century, when Hoi An was one of the busiest trading ports in Asia.

You'll be picked up from your hotel in Hoi An and start the tour at the colorful local market, where your guide will explain the various fruits, vegetables and household ware that is so common in this country. After browsing through the market, your walk continues to the Tan Ky Old House, an excellent example of an 18th-century merchant residence. This house is an important part of the historical preservation of mixing Chinese, Japanese and European architecture.

The exploration will then take you to the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, which served the largest Chinese ethnicity, and to the Japanese Covered Bridge, one of the landmarks of downtown Hoi An. It resembles the emblematic 420-year-old Japanese covered bridge that was constructed by the Japanese during their stay in Hoi An. The walking tour will end at a local home where residents raise silkworms and produce silk for Hoi An's burgeoning textile industry.
