Gallura Tour with Coddu Vecchiu and Costa Smeralda

You've got it all on this half day tour – a touch of history, a sprinkling of tradition and a dusting of glamour. From the ancient site of Coddu Vecchiu to the rustic appeal of San Pantaleo village and the sophistication of Porto Cervo, you'll see contrasting facets of the region.You'll first head inland from Costa Smeralda to the ‘giants' grave' of Coddu Vecchiu, an archaeological treasure where you'll find a large stone structure resembling a collective burial chamber, believed to have been built by the Nuragic civilization which thrived in Sardinia during the Bronze Age – making the site around 3,500 to 4,000 years old. Look out for the intricate stone carvings engraved on the walls of the burial chamber.Next will be a taste of real Sardinia in the village of San Pantaleo. Its location among the mountains of Gallura and granite hills give it an air of secrecy. You'll have about an hour to explore the square and beyond. You'll finish the tour in the glitzy seaside resort of Porto Cervo - the creation of one of the world's richest men, Prince Karim Aga Khan.
