Split Tour from Brac

The buzzing hub of the Dalmatian coast, Split is packed with shops, bars, restaurants and even a couple of cathedrals. It's the sort of place where you let your inner compass guide you – and it'll point you in the direction of the dazzling Diocletian's Palace – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Departing from Bol, you'll cross Brac to the port of Supetar in the north of the island. Here, you'll hop onto a boat for the one-hour trip across the Brac Channel. Docking at Split port – it's the right in the heart of the old town – you'll have about five hours to explore the city at your own pace.The star of the show is the vast third century palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian, who built it as a retirement home, using marble from Brac. Today, it doubles as Split's old town – there are more than 200 buildings within it – and preserves so much of the original that it has been used to film Game of Thrones. Outside, you can take in the views with a coffee from the smart Riva promenade.
