After meeting the local family and having your first drink, you'll start assisting the family with preparing the meal. You may also simply enjoy the process by just watching, making notes and taking pictures which is also possible. All local families speak at least some basic English, which gives you the possibility to chat and learn about daily life in this country. Talk with the host family about anything you'd like to know, including sharing some things about yourself and your home country.
