Not enough time spent in Salzburg. Unfortunately, I fell for the usual TUI trick where they charged €12 for the guided tour they deliberately specifically failed to mention in the marketing notes when selling this excursion. I won’t trust TUI again to go on any excursion in future. This was a very expensive taxi ride. You could’ve travelled to Salzburg for less than half price by going on the train from Zell am see for €19 euros. Salzburg was fabulous but run out of time to explore the fortress.

Too long in Salzberg. If you wanted a tour guide that's an additional €12. Was picked up from my hotel but no clear communication to say that myself and others then had another journey before we met the coach. Needs clearer instructions. Please make aware there is a 10 min walk to the square.

Great

Trip offered convenient way to get to Salzburg for the day. Punctual, clean coach, good driver and the guide Max was excellent with a really interesting commentary on the way there, lots of really helpful tips about what to do for the day, as well as providing maps and providing individual information re. where to find different sights.

Great

We felt a bit under pressure for time as it took a long time to get to Salzburg - 2 hours - as we had to be dropped off and picked up again. We had to wait at Zell am Zee for people too. However the city was beautiful and the tour guide on the bus was interesting. We had a lovely day out.

I only gave 8 for value as I paid for the trip and then paid again for another guide. But that aside the trip was great.

We didn't really get to spend enough time in Salzburgh. By the time we got there, had some lunch and looked at shops it was more or less time to go back. We would have liked to see the castle and spent longer in the gardens. It was quite expensive for the coach journey there. The guide was informative though.

If you want to know the history of Salzburg then the walking tour is for you but if you want to just go sightseeing, don't bother with the walking tour.

Guides and coach travel were excellent but the length of the tour didn’t leave much time to explore on our own or take a boat trip on the river.

We enjoyed everything about the trip - apart from the weather later in the afternoon! Salzburg is well worth the trip - such a beautiful place with lots to see. The trip there only took an hour from St Johann and the same coming back which was more convenient than the local train. Would recommend.

Great

At the time we visited everything was being prepared for the music festival so a lot of stands were being put up and also there were also many roadworks being rushed through to be ready before the festival started. George was okay but he uses the coach PA microphone too close to his mouth so his delivery is distorted, too loud and hard on the ears.

Great

The trip was essentially an expensive bus ride. We could have made our way to Salzburg independently for less than half the cost of the trip. Just get on the train ! The guided tour, for which we had to pay an extra €12 each, whilst informative was long and restricted the free time available to do our own thing. For example, there wasn’t enough time to visit the castle.

The only negative comment I can make is that we could have done with a little more time in Salzburg. Otherwise we were happy with all of it. The guide was excellent, with good advice on where to go and how to get there.

Tour guide was informative whilst on the coach and Gave us a city map pointing out the attractions. We were offered a guided tour but decided to do our own thing once there. We got around 5 hours there which was plenty of time to see the sites.

The journey was unnecessarily long because there was a major diversion to collect 4:people from St Johann. This added a total of 90 minutes. Not acceptable. Salzburg itself was great

The trip was basically a coach trip to Salzburg . Not value for money at all. Dropped in the centre and met 4 hours later. Paid for a recommended tour of town, guide only did the Sound of Music tour. She was short it mad it difficult to follow her and hear.

+points: Good quality transport, coach guide was knowledgeable, good access to Salzburg centre, clear instructions about return trip. -points: Early start because of lengthy journey to collect from other resorts, coach guide was a bit wordy, shortish time in resort as a result of journey time.

Have been to Salzburg many times on excursions. Have always been dropped off in the centre of Salzburg. This time the bus dropped us off on the outskirts of the centre with a 15 minute walk mainly uphill into the centre. I feel when people book this excursion, they should be warned about this as it is not easy for people with Asthma or other disabilities..

A great trip. Very well organised and great value for money. The guide was very informative and the option of an extra tour when you got there. Could have done with a little more time 1hr-1hr and a half maybe, but it's a good excuse to go back.

Guide and coach were excellent. Made it easy to get into Salzburg. The pricing structure is somewhat aggressive. A family of 4 cost £120 because teenagers are classed as adult pricing. All you get for the price is the coach plus a guide who provides some info and walks you from bus park to Mozart square and back The walking tour was offered as an add on (when we boarded coach) for another €40 for a family of 4 which pushes the price up further, this wasn't clear when booking on the app

The experience is misleading, it's not Salzburg sightseeing tour, it's guided transport to Salzburg and return, with an optional trip of 1h walking guided tour on Salzburg. I think it would be fair to advertise it as it is and not something that is not. The guide, Max and Miki, the bus driver were very nice and attentive.

Pick up on time by George the guide & Bernie the driver. Info along the route from George..was ok. What we did not expect to pay was 10 euro each should we wish to have a guide take us around the city for an hour! Obviously this was needed as, although issued a map, some expertise was required. We feel the cost, that just included the transport, was NOT acceptable. Had a guide been included, but also taken across bridge to Mirabel Gardens...a good move. The Lake region journey did not exist!

Salzburg is an amazing city, however I thought the trip was expensive for what we got, the guide max basically brought us to the square, and we had to find out as much as we could ourselves about it, and where to see things, he then met us and at the same place and walked us back to the bus, our driver Bernie was excellent

Great

This is not really a tour but transport to salzburg.. There was a tour leader to make lead us to the centre and he was a real nice guy. The city is definately worth a visit, beautiful and interesting. If you want a tour though you pay that locally. The tour though is not as advertised as it was supposed to include a detour to a sound of music location. Tuis tour info on line is mostly wrong, in terms of availability and content. Big call out to josh though. How hard he tries to put things right.
