The whole day was great from start to finish. Seeing small villages and experiencing local delicacies as well as having a bit of free time to do whatever you wanted to. Loved the swim off the boat. Eleni made the tour come alive and Dimitri, the driver, was a master! He got a round of applause at one stage from the whole bus for getting round a corner where someone had parked, leaving mere centimetres between the coach and the car! There was nothing we did not enjoy.

First of all the tour took 12hrs not 8hrs. The coach arrived at 6:50 for a 7:10 pickup, lucky enough we were early. The stop at Stavros just to eat cake /drink coffee seemed pointless when heading straight to Frikes for lunch. The Lunch stop would have been better at Kioni which seemed a much more prettier place than Frikes. Diamond although very knowledgeable about Ithaki was more interested in chatting to the local Greeks and the coach driver rather than interacting with the tour group.

A great day out. Very knowledgable guide Diamond who organised the day carefully. Extremely skilful coach driver Spiros. Disappointing that we couldn’t swim during the boat trip but the local crew knew the wind was increasing and we accepted their need to prioritise safety. Coach journey to Sami gave a wonderful opportunity to see the countryside. I would not personally recommend the rice and honey cakes - felt like a bit of a rip off for tourists.

Overall it was a good experience, and I would recommend it to others. The guide and driver very good. On the minus side, no pick up from my hotel and had to make my own way to Argostoli, including ferry tickets.

Doing this trip is a must... Ithaca must be the prettiest of all the greek islands. Diamond was the most knowledgeable guide and her recommendation of where to go for lunch (Ageri in Frikes) was spot on. Best cooked squid we have ever tasted. Perhaps make this like the Premier tour and include tea, cake, lunch etc. And make the gap between elevenses and lunch slightly bigger!

Second year that I have enjoyed this trip. I absolutely love it, the peace and serenity I feel when on that island is unparalleled. The total wow factor of the swim stop and without giving it away the last 20 mins of the coach journey back to the boat are extremely thought provoking.at the same time is being serene. I would highly recommend this trip and our lovely tour guide and driver. I will be back ??

I have done this tour a few times now, always with Tui. I have some points of improvement. The majority of people on these trips have always been older, and some less mobile. I cannot understand why the trip always stops in Frikes for lunch? It is ok, but certainly nowhere near as pretty as the little harbour village where you catch the boat from. Why not stop there for lunch, giving people an improved experience of mooching to the boat after lunch instead of rushing on a long walk in heat?

We loved the swim in the sea. The tour was good. However I didn’t think it was necessary to have a lunch stop and then stop off again 15 minutes later for a another stop in Stavros.

Efficient pick up Driver (Dimitri) drove well, felt safe Guide very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Just enough I formation without being overwhelming. Great day all round Negative point, Stavros stop felt unnecessary as museum was closed. Not fault of TUI, but little to do there.

I thought that the tour was perfect. The guide, Mimi, gave us enough background information on Ithaca's myths and legends and I thought she pitched this just right. She was always friendly and helpful and we appreciated the recommendations on the local cuisine. The places we visited were lovely and we had the right amount of time to appreciate them, and we also enjoyed the boat trip and swim stop by a beautiful beach. All in all a grand day out and very good value.

We enjoyed the whole experience even tho through no fault of tui we had to start even earlier than the original 7.05 am. Our guide Diamond was amazing, she knew everything about the history of Ithica and conveyed it to the tour party very well in an interesting & informative way - she must be an amazing asset to Tui. Big thanks also to our driver (Spiros ?) for his excellent driving skills.

Whole day was a great experience visiting 4 of Ithaki's town's / villages with plenty of time to enjoy the ambiance of the different locations. It said in the tour that there would be a beach stop but not that it involved a boat trip from Kioni to Vathy. As the sea was rather choppy I opted to return to Vathy on the coach rather than be sea sick on the boat, which the guide & driver were willing to accommodate for me.

Obviously this tour is tied to the ferry service between Kefalonia and Ithaca, resulting in an 7:00am early start. Ithaca is a lovely island and our guide was clearly an enthusiast; however we did seem to spend a lot of time at various locations for either coffee or lunch, as well as a swim stop which only 6 of the tour group participated in. Clearly there is a need to fill the day before heading back on the late afternoon ferry resulting in a 6:35pm return to our hotel

I don’t like the 2 hour tour of the island before we get to Sami. Also I was given a pick up pint of Aristomenis, I was the only one from lourdas so don’t know why I couldn’t have been picked up from Antonia. It is more accessible. I did like on the home journey I was transferred to a small coach early so didn’t have to do all the drop offs.

Our tour guide (her tag said diamond) was really clear about the intinery and schedule at each stop, gave alot of information about the island, people and mythology. Her love and passion for this island really shone through and was inspiring. The tour packed a lot in without feeling rushed, was well organised and though we were least looking forward to ths boat part and swim, it was one of the highlights it was a great way to really appreciate the landscape and its islands

I loved diving into the sea from the boat. The final stop in Stavros wasn’t the best - it was bakingly hot and there was nothing to do - I would have preferred to have a second beach stop. Great guide though and worth getting up early for!

Diamonds knowledge of the area was fabulous. She passed on her stories and her love of the islands. Spiro's coach driving skills were amazing on the small roads. Each stop was well described with time to explore or refresh ourselves. Time management was perfect. The small boat ride and sea swim was so beautiful, it will be a memory I keep forever. Unfortunately the day was very hot but the air con on the coach was a pleasure. It was a fantastic day and I'd thoroughly recommend it to others.

We have really enjoyed this experience overall. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative, and we loved the scenery and history of the island. The reason why I have put a lower score for safety is because during the boat trip, the boat’s crew appeared to have arguments about the steering of the boat (with loud shouting on a couple of occasions) and we narrowly avoided a collision with another boat on the open sea as a result.

Our rep Diamond was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable of the tour, super friendly and passionate about the island. Our driver was superb and extremely careful on the winding roads. The only thing I would say is to be prepared for a extremely long day! However overall a great day.

If you're staying in Sami and don’t do this trip then you are seriously missing out. The whole experience is fantastic and is done in a way that you see a lot of Ithaca, the most beautiful island I’ve ever seen. Diamond was an absolute Diamond, very clear guide of the island. Instructions were very clear and the whole experience went so fast because it was amazing. Ithaca truly is a magical place. Find your Ithaca! The minibus trip from my accommodation to Sami took two hours, which seemed a long time. A taxi was arranged for part of the journey on the return trip which made things quicker and was appreciated. The coach trip around Ithaca was very good; driver and guide were excellent. The swim stop may be slightly long at 45 minutes, as it seemed that the majority weren’t interested in swimming.

Ithaca was a beautiful island to visit the guide Diamond was very informative. We had an enjoyable lunch stop but I felt the second stop for cake was completely unnecessary. I had serious concerns that the boat that took us around the island was extremely full & cramped there were hardly enough seats & everyone was crammed in. Also the driver of the mini bus on the return journey to our hotel drove extremely dangerously, constantly using his phone & at one point steering with his elbows!!

All in all was a great trip. Diamond was very informative concerning the history of the island however the constant name dropping of celebrities who'd visited the island was very much over the to, really, who cares? Spiros the driver was great, we all felt very safe with his driving. The boat trip was great, scenery was breathtaking too.

Appt clean and well appointed spectacular position. The Ithaca tour was lovely but much time spent driving around on pick ups and drop offs a more efficient method would improve the experience. Guide very good. Was impressed rep checked I had been picked up for flight home when I messaged transport was late. Before travelling was told no reps on site anymore so had to download app this not the case a rep was around but missed her as didnt know

This was a dissapointment compared to the Premier trip, the island of Ithica was advertised as being "30 years behind" but it really isn't. For me it is not distinct from the main island. It is an extremely long day and felt like we were just dropped off at random locations to walk about. I also struggled to keep up with where we were going and unfortunately I put this down to the guide, however her knowledge of history was very good. Not recommended unless you are desperate to see Ithica.

Great trip to Ithaca, worth the early start. Diamond our guide was so informative and made sure we all embraced the island’s history. Ferry crossing was fine, same coach so you could leave belongings on, Spiros the driver was a star! Vathy the capital port maybe a bit too long, the boat trip was good with a nice swim stop, quick walk through pretty Kioni, then an amazing lunch in Frikes by the sea before a final coffee and cake stop in Stavros with a little museum. Such a picturesque island.

Ithaca is a beautiful, unspoilt, peaceful island. The day was really well planned with short but lovely stops at 3/4 small villages, and a wonderful boat trip with a swim from the boat, which was a highlight. Overall it’s a nice balance of culture/historical/scenic, but possibly the thing that made the day so special was our amazing guide, who told us stories, history and interesting facts along the way. I’ll start by saying there should of been two swim stops especially in the afternoon when everyone was hot.There was no need for a coffee and cake stop half an our after lunch , also the boat used was to small and the people were crammed. Diamond, our guide was fantastic - intelligent, extremely knowledgeable and her obvious passion for the island rubbed off on us all, culminating in the very moving reading by Sean Connery which she played for us. She absolutely made the trip and left us feeling a real connection with this magical island. Have been on this trip with Tui for many years. However, as stated in my review last year why isn't more time allocated to browse at Kioni. There was always time in the past, in fact, it was, in the early days, our lunch stop. I asked the guide why it changed and she stated it was because it was too hot with no breeze. We were rushed through so fast 6 people couldn't keep up and got lost! However, still remains excellent trip and well worth money.

Too much complicated story about odyssey’s journey that we missed the point of as it went on too long so we lost concentration. There was a snack stop followed by lunch stop literally 5 minutes drive later! However we all still thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and the beautiful swim in turquoise waters and had a lovely lunch - and the guide was very friendly abd enthusiast despite clearly feeling unwell on the way back! Overall the 6 of us gave the day a big thumbs up!

We have visited Ithaca several times and have always thoroughly enjoyed the experience and this trip was no exception. Once again though I need to draw your attention to the confirmation email received at the time of booking via the app. The pick up time stated was 6. 45 from "Princess" whereas we are staying in Kekatos Lourdas. "Princess" presumably refers to Kekatos in Lassi. After querying this the pick up time was amended to 6.10 which is quite a difference. Same scenario on Premier trip.

We enjoyed the whole day. Effie our tour guide was very jolly and is a lovely lady, she was also very helpful and is extremely knowledgeable about the Island. The coach driver on Ithaca was very good and we felt safe with him driving along those winding roads, he was also very cheerful. The only downside to the trip was that it was a very long day with an early pickup and late arriving back at our hotel but it didn’t stop us enjoying it.

There really was not enough on Ithaca to justify a full day starting at 6:30am. The boat trip was over long and cramped. Only half the people on the boat took the opportunity to swim. There were no refreshments available, either on the boat or nearby beach. Vathi was probably the best part of the trip and just about the right amount of time The walk through Kuoni was rushed and more time could have been spent there. Frikes was nice for lunch, very little else there Stavros was a waste of time.

Our guide was the most lovely lady extremely friendly and down to earth very passionate about her subject the trip was very good with just maybe swapping the last stop and the swim stop for a visit to the monastery we were told about but didn’t visit! The swim stop is unnecessary and feels disjointed with the day also last stop could be left out too we didn’t really want cake and coffee when we’d just had lunch saying this the trip is definitely worth doing stunning island with beautiful views

Thoroughly enjoyed the boat cruise, we also stopped off for lunch and went to an amazing restaurant it was the first one in the harbour not the one the guide advised. Amazing food The scenery was stunning there are no words Beautiful place Guides on all the trips we went on were fabulous and so informative

everything was fantastic. The rep Diamond certainly lived up to her name! Her knowledge and experience about the Island was exceptional. The coach, ferry and boat journeys were all good. We had an absolute brilliant day and would have no problems recommending this trip. First class all round.

The tour guides on both trips were very knowledgeable on the areas we visited and were great fun.we had Diamond on our first trip but would not have booked twice more for this trip if it had not been for her big ,fun personality and guidance.we had meme for trip 2 who also was lovely and made our trip special.kudos to the coach drivers.wow.

I enjoyed the whole experience, apart from the swim stop. I didn't take part. However, having looked at other tour agencies that offered similar but cheaper Ithaca tours, they seemed to spend less time on dry land and had more swim stops. Not for me!

Tour guide Diamond was excellent. Boar from Ithaca was lovely but a lot of people on the boat leaving not a lot of room. The boat staff were excellent though

Thought this was a great trip from start to finish, great guide, driver, boat trip and food stops. Fabulous day in the beautiful island of Ithaca and would definitely do it again. A great trip for both adults and children.
