What to expect

Meet your guide - the man in pink - outside Trees Organic Coffee Shop at 930 Burrard St. and embark on a 2-hour long adventure into the LGBTQ2 + history and culture of Vancouver. You'll weave a path through Imperial Court coronations, drag kings at the Quadra, gay ministers at the United Church, Patient Zero, the GRID crisis, and Nelson Park until you find yourself in the “gaybourhood” on Davie Street.

The walking tour also passes through the historic West End as you hear about the city's first Pride parade, Jim Deva Plaza, bookstore bombings, a transgender campaigner who blew the whistle on the biggest crime in Vancouver history. You'll finish the tour right in the middle of the action in the Davie Street village, with a fantastic variety of bars and restaurants. You can enjoy a post-tour cocktail as you reflect on the afternoon's adventure!
