What to expect
Discover the Blue Mountains on this full-day guided tour and learn its history as well as its value through its sites: Calmsey Hill, Jamison Valley, Eaglehawk Lookout and the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens.
Starting from morning tea at the Calmsley Hill farm - home to kangaroo, emu, wombat and koala - you'll explore the remote regions of sandstone outcrops, deep ravines and eucalypt forests with your guide explaining the history of the region. Admire the changing colours the sunlight brings to the famous Three Sisters and hear about the legends behind this famous rock formation.
Next, after lunch, you'll follow instructions given on the hiking track taking you across a number of valleys and ridges as you hike from Evans Lookout to Govetts Leap all the while looking out across Australia’s Grand Canyon, The Grose Valley. Lastly, see the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens including the ancient wollemi pine.
