Do you love the Surinamese cuisine or are you curious? If so, this workshop is an excellent choice. See how traditional dishes such as Her Heri, Keksi, or other options get created. Then, taste the flavor sensations with wine or beer included for a distinct dining experience. Plus, receive a copy of the recipe!
After a 5:00pm pickup, you'll feel your excitement as you prepare to hear about the workshop. Meet the experienced and passionate cook with a broad culinary background with years of experience. Listen to the inspiring and educational information on different Surinamese cuisines.
Next, marvel at the ingredients and creation of Surinamese cuisine. See dishes like Moksi Alesi which is a blend of rice with meat or fish. You can also add vegetables, and pies to the dish. Together with your host, you can decide what you want to add. As a side dish, you will make options that include Pom, which is an oven dish made with pomtayer and chicken, or for dessert the airy cake made of eggs and flour called Keksi. If you are a vegetarian, you have an option of Her Heri, a dish that consists of yuca, banana/plantains, and potatoes with salt fish. Other vegetarian side dish options are Pinda soup made with peanuts and green potato balls, or for dessert, the yuca coconut mix called Bojo.
