What to expect

Leaving London, you will take a scenic journey through the countryside to Bath, the beautiful Georgian city famous for being home to Jane Austen, Britain's only natural hot spring and some of Roman Britain's most important history. With time at your disposal, you'll be free to roam the streets enjoying the impressive architecture, go shopping and enter the Baths and see where the Romans bathed as part of an important cultural ritual.

Leaving Roman roads and historical objects behind you, you will head to another relic, one which stands proud on Salisbury Plain and is over 5,000 years old. Stonehenge is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and consists of huge standing stones. But how did they get there? What were they used for? Why were they built on the Plains? As you enter the visitor centre and listen to the audioguide, all of your questions will be answered! There's a reason that people flock to this site - the mystery and sheer size is so incomprehensible, that it really has to be explored to be believed.
