What to expect

The valley of Hermigua, which is well-known for its sprawling banana plantations, is first on the agenda today.

You'll get a good look at the vast fields on your way to Los Telares, before disembarking to begin your stroll through the wide range of flora diversity at the ecological farm. While here, you'll experience the sweet tasting delight of the famous palm honey, accompanied by a glass of wine and some flavoursome local cheese, that will make your mouth water. Shortly after, a local artisan will show you how he has been elaborating (by hand) the outstanding baskets with leaves and vines. Your next stop is Agulo, where you'll have the perfect opportunity to capture a photo in this pretty, clifftop village. The gorgeous area is surrounded by a huge basalt wall measuring an outstanding 300 metres high. Finally, the tour draws to a close with a last visit to Agando. A glimpse of the magnificent landscape, where basalt formations have been formed from volcanic origin, before making your way back to the ship, but this time with the flavour and light of La Gomera with you!
