Explore the distinctive mangrove maze of Khao Garos in the north of Krabi on a spectacular, eco-friendly kayak trip through narrow canyons to the hidden lagoon of Ao Thueak and into the Bat Cave. The stream is freshwater springs mixed with the salty Andaman Sea water which is why it is named Tha Pom is called Klong Song Nam (meaning “two water canal”). The thick roots are well suited to handle an unpredictable mixture of fresh and saltwater.
