What to expect
Today, you’ll see some of Bratislava’s most popular highlights during this snapshot tour. You’ll meet your guide at the port, then hop on a trolley train and head to your first stop – Bratislava Castle. This giant landmark’s stood in the centre of the city for over 500 years, and you’ll hear about its history as you wander around the garden-filled grounds. From here, you’ll hop back on the train for a 10-minute ride to Bratislava’s old town. At this point, you can return to the ship, or follow your guide for an hour-long walking tour of the city centre. During your walk around this Medieval-era neighbourhood, you’ll stop by the 650-year-old Bratislava City Hall for some photos. It’s in the city’s centrepiece Main Square, and you’ll be able to see Roland’s Fountain – a 10-metre-tall water feature dedicated to one of Slovakia’s kings – while you’re here.
