In this tour you will get to explore 10 unique points of interest in Rincon Village.

Rincon village is the oldest village on Bonaire and is rich in history. It is also the oldest continual community within the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Originally settled by the Spanish in the early 1500s, Rincon was strategically nestled within a valley to ward off impending danger from pirates and other threats.

During the 17th century, enslaved Africans were forcibly brought to Bonaire to provide labor, working in crop cultivation and the salt pans until slavery was abolished in 1863. Those enslaved men who lived in the town of Rincon would make a long 7-hour journey on foot each week to the salt pans in the south, returning on weekends to obtain supplies from the Mangazina di Rei (King's storehouse) and visit their families.

You will stop at the Cadushy distillery, where you will be able to taste the local cactus liquor made in Bonaire for free. After visiting Cadushy you will be stopping at a local restaurant called Posada. There you can try native island food and have a traditional local taste.
