What to expect

Get a taste of local life and take a journey through the culture and flavors of Rhodes on this Medieval Town walking food experience.

Greece is a paradise for food lovers and Greek food also plays an integral role in local culture and daily life. So one of the best ways to really get to know this country is by exploring its culinary heritage. The strategic position of the island, has led to a variety of invaders and colonizers throughout its history, all of which have left a unique and delicious legacy in Rhodian food culture.

You will take a culinary journey through Rhodes, as you are introduced to local food producers who will share their food secrets. Led by an English-speaking guide (who just happens to also be a passionate foodie). Together you’ll "eat your way" around the Medieval Town of Rhodes, while learning the tastes, stories and background of the local cuisine.

You will start your day with breakfast: a traditional phyllo pie from a family-run shop and then you will be led to hidden culinary gems inside the Medieval city that mainly locals know about.

You will visit many different food shops, coffee shops, local liqueur shops, taverns and traditional restaurants off-the-beaten-path.

There’s also a hidden church visit and there you may find for some special cake, made just for you.

Make sure you leave room for lunch though as you’ll dine in one of the island’s best meze tavernas, famed for its authentic food and fantastic Greek hospitality.
