What to expect
Enjoy a guided and private tour from Muscat to the lunar Batinah region, to Nakhal, and its surroundings.
Start your tour at 8.30 AM and meet your private guide. Drive through the lunar landscapes of the Batinah region, where small gems like Nakhal are located. Admire the landscape with its palm groves and mountains that are the natural cornice of this unique urban settlement, famous for its date palms and rich water sources.
Enter the heart of Nakhal, and be surprised by the stately Fort, situated on the top of a rocky hill. Time to take some amazing photos from outside of this majestic Fort. Cross the backside oasis by car, and feel surrendered by the greeneries of the palm plantations.
Stop in Al Towwarah and experience the natural hot spring waters in between the village houses. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. Then, head to Al Shal’li village, and visit the Bait Al Ghasham Museum. Here, visit the kaleidoscopic rooms and spaces, and find out more about specific aspects of traditional life.
