Unfortunately we did end up standing in a line to get into the excavations, our guide did remonstrate with other tour leaders but they seemed to be ignoring the rules about tickets. We took about half an hour to enter. Apart from that, our tour guide, Alessandra was excellent very knowledgeable and entertaining.
