What to expect

The story of Greenwich starts at the magnificent Old Royal Naval College with 600 years of history. Included in your entry is a tour of this magnificent 17 acre estate. It has become one of London's most iconic landmarks - a riverside masterpiece which was designed by Sir Christopher Wren, whose spectacular architecture has made it one of the most popular film and TV locations in the world.

It is home to the breath taking 17th century Painted Hall that has over 40,000 square feet of painted walls and ceilings, which took 19 years to complete (known as the UK's Sistine Chapel.) The Painted Hall has a free audio guide available in 7 languages, or live guided tours take place every 30mins.

If you visit between 12-3pm, why not test your skills at one of the oldest remaining Victorian Skittle Alleys in the UK, which was originally built to entertain the Naval pensioners in 1864.

The guided tours (in English only) depart from the Visitor Centre on the hour from 11am-3pm. Last Painted Hall entry is 4.30pm.
