Are you a fan of Oxford's most known writers? Join the CS Lewis and Tolkien guided walking tour and learn more about the lives and the work of writers' and Oxford University alumni's Lewis and Tolkien, respectively known for the Narnia series and The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
You may glimpse how even today, with its splendid mix of medieval architecture, Oxford acts as a window into the past and can transport you into those imaginary worlds created by these celebrated writers.
During the tour you will be able to see Exeter College, where Tolkien studied and the University Church where Lewis preached during World War Two and hear about the colleges where Tolkien and Lewis taught. Moreover, you'll walk past the Eagle and Child pub, where the Inklings used to meet every Tuesday, to talk about their work and discover more about their unique writing style,their interests and influence.
This is definitely a jump back in time and it will give you a glimpse of how Oxford used to be in the early 20th century.
