What to expect
This tour follows the city's oldest walls and takes you to the Castelo São Jorge (St. Georges Castle) neighborhood, which overlooks the River Tagus and the oldest part of Lisbon. On this tour, you can go back in time to Olisipo (one of the city's former names) and visit its Roman theatre. The Romans discovered the thermal waters of Alfama, but it was the Muslims who gave the name al-hamma (thermal fountain) to the area.This borough remains an authentic labyrinth of alleys, interior patios, stairways, and tiny squares. Wir hatten das große Glück die Führung ganz allein genießen zu dürfen! In 3 Stunden haben wir sehr viel gesehen und erklärt bekommen. Unsere Führerin sprach perfekt deutsch und brannte als Einheimische für Portugals Geschichte. Einige besuchte Orte hätten wir niemals ohne Begleitung gefunden oder wären jemals darauf gekommen sie zu besichtigen.
