What to expect
Choose the best option to visit Meteora, arriving directly from Kalabaka train station. See the entire area and all the monasteries, and take the best panoramic photos with an expert local tour leader.
At 12.49 pm your train arrives at Kalabaka train station, where your expert local tour leader will be waiting for you holding a signboard with your name. You'll shortly stop for about 20 minutes at the bus stop restaurant for a quick lunch and snacks, and after boarding the bus you'll begin your 4 to 5 hours tour to see all six active Monasteries and visit the inside of three of them. You'll be given a chance to fully experience the magnificence of Meteora, a place honored by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and learn about the history, architecture, and spirituality of the Monasteries.
In the end, you'll be transferred back to Kalabaka train station so that you'll be on time for the departure of the train, back to Athens or Thessaloniki.
