Explore Lübeck, the former leading city of the Hanseatic League and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This private walking tour starts at the beautiful Holsten Gate, the world-famous symbol of hanseatic self-assurance which was the motif on the German banknote of 50 Marks until a redesign following German reunification in 1990. Continue to the Salt storehouses, six historic brick buildings from 16th-18th century, past the former industrial heart of the city, the Port of Lübeck.

Visit St. Mary's Church, the third largest brick gothic church in Germany. Outside St Mary Church, you can take a picture with the little devil, and learn about this funny story. Stroll through the streets and admire the decorated houses next to Buddenbrook House, dedicated to the two writers Heinrich and Thomas Mann and the famous work “Buddenbrooks”.

Discover the charm of the “Gateway to the North” and learn more about the marzipan, as Lübeck is the birthplace of this sweet treat.
