What to expect
Take a tour of Herend, makers of the finest porcelain in the world, on your way to Lake Balaton, also known as the Hungarian sea, one of the largest fresh water lakes in Europe.
First, this tour will take you to Herend, one of Europe's largest luxury Porcelain Manufacturers. The aristocracy and many well-known celebrities have purchased their unique hand painted pieces here. You’ll have a guided tour of Herend’s factory, allowing you to see their historic one of a kind collection and to have a close up look at the manufacturing process with time to spare for a short shopping expedition!
Following a guided tour through the rooms, you will be invited for a coffee. It can also be a chance for you to do some souvenir shopping.
Next, you’ll drive to Lake Balaton and visit the abbey, which was founded 1055 on the Tihany Peninsula. Then it's on to Balatonfüred, the oldest spa resort in Hungary. Enjoy the day and walk along the famous promenade. Finally, you’ll return to Budapest where the tour ends in the city centre.
