What to expect
Explore the Forbidden City with this guided tour!
You will first explore the largest Imperial Palace in the world. You will visit the Turret of the Palace museum, which was part of the defensive construction of the Forbidden City.
Then, you will admire the Hall of Great Harmony, the largest wooden structure in the world, where the Emperor held important ceremonies. You will proceed towards the Hall of Preserving Harmony, used for banquets and imperial examinations, and the Palace of Heavenly Purity, the residence of the Emperor. Finally, you will visit the Imperial Garden that contains more than 20 different types of pavilions, terraces and towers.
You will conclude your tour with a lunch served in the former Imperial Icehouse inside the Forbidden City.
