No prior experience is required, making it ideal for families and first-time rafters.Your journey begins with a short shuttle ride to the river’s starting point, where you’ll receive all the necessary gear, including wetsuits and life jackets. To streamline the process, we recommend wearing your swimsuit under your clothes. Before setting out, your professional, certified guide will provide a comprehensive safety briefing and an introduction to rafting techniques.Once on board your self-bailing raft (which accommodates 6–7 passengers), you’ll navigate a scenic five-mile (8 km) stretch of the Athabasca River, known as the Expressway. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and old-growth forests while paddling through gentle flowing sections and five fun, splashy Class II rapids.This trip is a fantastic way to experience the beauty of Jasper National Park from the water while enjoying an exhilarating ride. Accessibility:

Rafting difficulty: Class 2+. The minimum age is 5 years old (size and weight not applicable)

Not allowed:

Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to participate

Paid all day public parking is available in this same parking lot, including limited RV parking. On arrival you will be required to sign a liability waiver

Know in advance:

Children must be accompanied by an adult
Minors (under age 18) must be accompanied by an adult on the river
This tour operates in all weather conditions, rain or shine
The rafts can accommodate 6 to 8 passengers. Raft configuration is determined by raft guides daily based on overall group size. While best efforts are made to keep groups together in same raft, due to logistics, this cannot be guaranteed
The local operator reserves the right to cancel with full refund or alter any trip and/or substitute a different river or river section at their discretion
If the minimum of passengers is not reached, the tour will be canceled and you will be offered a refund or reschedule
This trip is typically 2hours round-trip (including 1 hour on water time) although please note that trip durations are approximate and are subject to variations due to traffic conditions
You will leave all belongings in the bus while on the river and the bus will meet you at the river take-out

Remember to bring:

Please be ready with your swimsuit on under your normal street clothes to make the change process easier once down by the river
Bring a towel and warm clothing for afterward, some water and a snack to enjoy after the trip
If the weather is cold or stormy bring extra clothing (fleece or wool) to wear under your paddle jacket
