El Jadida, known in Berber as Mazagan, is an Old Portuguese city located on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Seized in 1502 by the Portuguese and controlled until 1769, El Jadida is a fortified town famous for its citadel, ramparts, bastions, tanks, and port.
