What to expect

Paddle eight miles through the mysterious, moss covered cypress forest of the Little-Big Econ State Forest.

Kayak on the river, escaping the uncontrolled growth dominating Orange and Seminole Counties, pass the tightly winding upper portion that slowly becomes a widening lazy river.

During your excursion you will keep a look out for wildlife including bald eagles, red shoulder hawks, heaps of large wading birds, river otters, and of course alligators. The high sandy banks will provide shade with enormous live oaks, pine, palm, and ancient cypress.

Stop for a light picnic style lunch at the Boy Scout Bridge on the Florida Trail. At the end of the paddle tour, a private van transports you back to your vehicles at the starting point.
