Vienna’s known for its extravagant architecture and you’ll fit all the main contenders in today. You’ll start with a panoramic bus tour past the Art Nouveau Urania observatory and the Danube Canal promenade, which is lined with bistros, bars and mini-manmade beaches. Then you’ll head out on foot for a photo stop at the Belvedere Museum – home to a pair of Baroque palaces and sloping gardens. After, the bus will drop you near the Hofburg, a former palace from the Habsburg era. From here, you can walk to St Stephen’s Cathedral for a closer look at its 137-metre-high spire and patterned roof. The bus will then whisk you past the Ringstrasse boulevard, where you'll be able to see Hundertwasser House from the comfort of your coach. Designed by the Gaudi of Vienna, this brightly coloured building flaunts a forested roof and curved walls.
