Český Krumlov, a medieval town in South Bohemia, has retained its almost fairytale-like atmosphere to the present day and deserves its being on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage sites.

The historical center comprises narrow, winding streets and lanes full of Gothic, renaissance, and baroque buildings from the times of the Rožmberk, Eggenberg, and Schwarzenberg noble families.
